If your site already had traffic, before you bought it, it had links already.
You just can't find them.
This is because your site is in authority mode. It's what happens when you post content constantly enough and keep it fresh. I have this mode on my site as well. Congratulation and now keep going, never stop because if you stop you may lose this mode.

Yes it had but those are automatically generated links like, coupon, keywords and other. Those are not good quality links. I've heard Google ignores these links.If your site already had traffic, before you bought it, it had links already.
You just can't find them.

I think, one of my friend also has Similar, if he post anything today it will rank at first page within 1-2 days.

There are always exceptions like your site, but for most sites out there, links are a requirement. If someone has a well optimized site in your niche targeting same keywords as you with some high quality natural backlinks. They'll beat your site with ease.

What you heard or think about a link is not what and how google will see it.
So, summarizing, you site is not ranking without links.

It's not that it's impossible to rank without links, it's about increasing your chances.

if you think this is because of the content itself then you have to reconsider this,
I have a test website that making 400+- daily users with no links and totally spun content,
content isn't that well spinned as well, most of it 50% unique +-
it's even ranking in some featured snippets and #1 spot keywords, but it will never rank for a competitive keyword without any link

I like more than 800-1k. Also look at SERP and their word count.seems nice,
how average you got as word count?

Algo is more aligned towards topics rather than kws
