How long before expired domains fall off?

So I checked whois.com/whois and one of the items there has been listed as "Redemption period" for more than 2 months.

Isn't this normally just 30 days? If so, how long do I have to wait before I can register the domain? I checked the registrar's website and it is in a different language so can't figure out what their policies are.

It's always a bit complicated. Above the 30 days, there's always a grace period for auto-renewal and redemption. For instance on Porkbun it's 75-76 days after expiration, when domains get released to the general public or it can also happen, that the domain gets reserved by its registry and it cannot be registered by anyone.

Can't you just translate their TOS quick with Google Translate and find the info? If not, contact them. They will probably reply to an English enquiry too.
