Hello, seriously I don't know if someone talking about it in some serious way. But I feel pretty depressed from the f*cking shiny object syndrome. From a young age, I knew that I want to make money.
Seriously I can't even count on my fingers how many times I started dropshipping site,FBA, affiliate site, ig page, cpa, lead generation, cleaning business, land moving business all these amazing business models that surely work and on this forum are guys who are killing it. But when I start I just don't see results and just quit. And don't make me wrong I think that I am not a kid I know that u need to sit down and make the work done and patience is the key.

I was studied the medicine school - quit (why would i study my whole life and then make small money when you can be entrepreneur? haha idiot), then i studied for medical engineer - quit (lol i want to work on myself) ok what now?

Haha guess what the depression came.
Hello. I want to die. Hm ok, why are you depressed? You got girl, maybe u are not that stupid because you was at school where was accept 30 kids from thousands, you got good job (tennis coach - quit, hate it)
Lost my friends (nah they was the best guys i have ever met, i just quit them, why? i dont know)
I found myself to play poker, sports betting, casino etc..why? Fast money and the adrenalin you got from it.

Now i am sitting drunk as fuck in my room(with the roommate, doctor) next month i am moving with my Girl which manipulate me AF, don't know if i love her and i am going to lose my last friend (roommate), i cant quit it with her, don't know why. Guys seriously listen i am broke(not complaining my fault) she has got the money and she cant even fucking pay the half of the rent so i am now paying for the rooms LOL. (the papers from this room are until April and we need to pay the rent for the new one as well for April, haha if you understand me :-D )

Do you know these newbies here that are writing the titels "i need to make money?" i am scrolling the forum and looking for magic pill lol :-D The only thing i want is something i will passion about and i will do it for free. But guess what i hate everything. I hate even sleep, i cant stand up from my bed, because why would i when everything is terrible.

Got nice childhood, was really i mean really good in tennis - injured
got A+ from every f.cking subject
nice family
nice friends
nice pocket money
nice GF - turned as i write above

And still dont know what to do with my life. Guys seriously i sleep in the same t-shirt i wear in a day for a 10 days. I think that GF is happy because i am not going anywhere, lost all perspective in my life

And why am i writing this? i dont know maybe you are the only guys i am talking with, and maybe if you are in kinda same life situation you are not alone.

sorrry for my English not native as u can see.

/how could i event think that i will be the CEO of my own SEO business when i cant event speak English lol/

I think I'm worse off than your friend. I don't know what to do with my life and I feel that my parents are not proud of me.

I wake up - I look at stupid things on my cell phone - I go to sleep (if I can). In loop

I also went through many business attempts.

#sad

Shiny object syndrome comes generally when you are either :

1. A beginner and think you can find an easy method to make money instead of building a real business
2. you NEED money fast, you want to shortcut success, it never ends well unfortunately
3. you are impatient and lazy and want things fast for whatever reason, and instead of building a real valuable skill, you search the shortcut again..

It sucks, been there before and still struggle when I see people having an amazing business that makes more than 10k a month.

The think is that I really don't need the money, maybe I am wrong with the shiny syndrome, or I don't know, the thing is that I really don't know what to do. Hate everything so much that I only lye on the bed and don't want to stand or even move

When you sober up, read this post from a guy who had the same issue.

Was swapping projects every week or so.

Jumping from one idea to another.

My agency that I was CEO for - was draining me faster than a 200$ hooker can suck your soul out.

Was tired and depressed from everything.

I knew that I want to build something and it has to be big, but every project I started - just did not felt right and I lost interest in few months.

When I hit rock bottom, I knew that I have to change something.

I started to read books. But not just read them, I consumed them.

My work routine started 4AM and till 9AM I was reading books regarding business, marketing, and psychology.

I took notes by hand.

I watched various psychology related videos on youtube to just understand why and how our brain chemistry works, this is pretty important.

At the same time, I started to browse BHW and look for inspiration.

Eventually, I succeeded. I'm working for a single project 1 year w/o any shiny objects around me anymore because I have the shiniest of them all.

And you will have it too.

Just look around.

Find it.

I was in the same situation a few months ago, because of the covid I lost my job and isolated for too long to not take risk. I became lazy at home. How old are you ? maybe try to find a part time job to have some things going on? I realised that my psychology was better with a part time job, it increased my productivity strangely...

I mean sometimes a part-time job can be a good mix. A kind of balance, I know some people who work better on their business when they have cash coming from a regular source, to reinject in the business if it is not scalling like a space rocket already :D

will think about it, thank you for your kind advices

It's not about doing what brings to you money but what brings happiness to you.

Go back and study something that you like (Med, engineer, etc)

And stop believing every single thing that you read, I've seen a ton of people quitting their life just to pursue business and fail, the my journey section looks more as a 'Only winners section' and doesn't talk about people who have failed.

Ok but, nothing makes me happy. As I said if I got something like that I will do it for free for sure

not trying to be a shill, but try focusme or coldturkey. i installed focusme (has a free 1 month trial) a week ago, and it has "forced" me to study and take my exam more seriously. if you are struggling with distractions and getting shit done or simply limiting your wasted time, those can be a good crutch to help you get on your feet again.

From the length of your Message, OP you could be a good content writer.
Only if you had written that in a Blog Post.
And yes, you are a Jr Vip be Happy.

Probably your answered your own question by quitting early?

Stop caring about money. That's the solution. Seriously. Love playing games? Become a streamer. You don't have to do IM to make money.

Looks to me like you've lost yourself, and you don't know who you are anymore. You feel an outcast, whilst everyone else is doing what they love, you are there who can't find anything at all.... doing nothing with your life...

Sound like you? The good news is, that's normal. I went through it a few years ago, eventually I found what I loved.

https://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test - This is what fixed me. Sounds stupid right? But this personality test has around a 90% hit rate and was created from personality theory.

It will give you 5 long pages about your life, telling you what careers you are built for ect.

It told me the folllowing

Logicians are well represented among mathematicians, analysts, researchers, and scientists, particularly in more abstract fields such as physics. Jobs in engineering and technology can also be a match, especially if they allow room for creativity – Logicians would much rather pioneer new approaches than spend their days implementing someone else’s work.

Guess what? I fricking love mathematics. I fricking love analysing. I fricking love researching. And I fricking love science. It scoped me down to me exactly. I don't know what genius was involved in it's creation, but it's so fricking accurate it's unreal.

All my family follow these exact careers as well, and guess what? Out of all the 16 personality types they could have hit, they all hit the same as me. Logician.

If you feel lost. Take this test. It will show you who you are. And tell you what you are passionate about. Just make sure you answer the questions with complete honesty. Concentrate on honesty.
