Thank you, man! Yeah, progress is slow but it's there. This journey is about consistency, working day in and day out. Good luck to you too!Good start and the progress is moving up. now you are much more confident before this. Good job and great earning with visitors. Your smart work is paying the way for more customers. good luck bro.

Thank you, man! Nice to see that you're improving in revenue as well! Affiliate sites can be scaled real fast so we can sometimes see the results come faster than we expected. Do you have a journey thread on BHW for this site? All the best. I too have an affiliate site which started getting more revenues. Interested to see how your site pans out in comparison to mine. Thanks for the post!
Good luck mate, you seem to have a pretty solid plan. I'm sure you'll hit your goal pretty quickly.Hello everyone, and welcome to my journey!
About Me
Like it says in the title, as of today, I'm starting a new life. No more bullshiting, no more whining, no excuses.
I'm going to make it now, or I never will. Period!
Today I quit the job I was working for the last year and a half. It was tough work, construction work.
Broke my back every day carrying adhesives and cement bags, freezing in the winter, and cooking in the summer heat.
6 months ago, I told my boss that I had enough and that I will quit in exactly 6 months, and that's what I did.
He's a good guy that treated me well, but I could not take it anymore. I knew that the only way I could succeed is to do IM full time.
So, I saved some money for a solid office. It's a nice place and I got a huge discount on it. I saved enough money to support myself for about a year.
What Kind of IM Bussines am I Currently Doing
I'm currently focused on an Amazon affiliate site that started growing in traffic in December last year. It is the only successful affiliate site I started when I first got into IM, and funnily enough, the one I spent the least time on. I started 4 other sites along with this one, but they didn't turn out to be successful since I made a ton of rookie mistakes.
This is the screenshot of the growth in organic clicks for the site:
View attachment 164765
As you can see, it is steadily growing and is currently receiving around 50 average pageviews a day.
Here are some stats for the site:
I also have an indexing issue with this site that was not present before as all the articles were indexed almost instantly. It happened when I published the last article a month ago. It wouldn't index and I got the Discovered - Currently not indexed issue. It's indexed on Bing and actually received some organic clicks from there, but no matter what I did it wouldn't index in google. There is nothing I can do anymore, so I only hope this problem won't occur with the articles published in the future.
- Total Number of Articles Published: 29 (14 real keyword targeted articles, and the rest are just filler articles that are worthless)
- Age: 10 months - The domain was registered in April last year and is in the Google index for the same amount of time.
- Niche: Will not specify. It is an evergreen niche with a ton of potential for growth since it's huge.
- Earnings: December 2020 = $11.78, January 2021 = $12.05, February 1-26 2021 = $12.31
- Links: Built some last year, a few months after I registered the domain. GSC shows 63 total external links.
- Pageviews: 1,729 in the last 30 days.
- Geo: 76.82% United States, 7.70% United Kingdom, 4.95% Canada, and 2.54% Australia.
What I plan to do with this site and some goals I'd like to achieve:
I will write all the content myself. I'm not a particularly talented writer and I'm not exactly knowledgeable enough to write articles in my niche. I'll have to do a looooot of research and that will for sure take a huge chunk of my workdays.
- Publish at least 200 articles till the end of the year. Got 252 keyword ideas from Ahrefs Trial. It's a mix of info and buyer keywords with about 75% buyer and 25% info keywords.
- Get to at least $150 a month consistently with Amazon till the end of the year. (The amount needed to have my basic expenses covered)
My first goal as a content writer is to get to a consistent routine of publishing 1 article a day. Until then I will do my absolute best to write and learn as fast as I can and develop as a writer.
I'm actually pretty good at keyword research and I consider it to be a crucial part of a successful site. I'm focused on building a lot of topical relevancy and I have structured my site in silos. There are 3 main silos I'm targeting and each of those 3 have additional 10+ sub silos and those sometimes have additional sub silos as well. I found a lot of low competition keywords that I will target first, and when I publish a substantial amount of articles in each silo I will move to some medium and high competition articles.
What Am I Trying To Achieve With This Journey
I don't have a set goal in terms of monthly income. I would like to flip the site in the future and invest in some surgeries.
I'll most likely start a few more sites during this journey and will try to write the content for multiple sites when I get better at it (or outsource it if the earnings get high enough).
But that's not the focus of this journey. It's not about this site or other sites. It's about persistence, hard work, and discipline. Showing to myself that I'm not a pathetic loser that everyone always thought I was.
I'm removing all distractions. Social media, gone. Stupid friends that drag me down, gone. Video games, TV shows, Movies, all gone!
I have nothing to stop me now! All the things that are problematic are behind me, I have no excuses left!
I will update this journey daily, and I'm now promising to share every detail of every workday that I go through with you guys. This thread is my responsibility, I hope it will push me to work even harder since I don't want to disappoint my blackhatters. I also hope it will motivate some of you guys to work hard as well and hopefully we can share some success stories in this thread.
This journey is inspired by @Kikerinka and his wonderful journey thread. Because I saw how he and other users have benefited from his journey thread, I started this one, hoping I can be at least 50% consistent and helpful as he is.
I'm starting the journey on Monday, March 1st, 2021, and will work until I get enough money to get my surgeries done (will not specify the amount needed). After that, I will continue with this journey and try to scale things to a whole new level, but that's a bit too distant now, so let's stick with where we are now, and what can we do at this moment.
Please do not hesitate to ask if you got any questions. Will be happy to answer them.
Thank you, mate! In my case, the basic monthly necessities are this low because I live with friends and don't pay rent. If I was living alone, the expenses would go up to at least 600 to $700. That's if I was to rent a modest apartment. I pay for food and little things like toothpaste, clothes, cleaners, and similar stuff. I also pay a very small fee for using my office. The maximum expense I currently have is $200 in the winter months because of the heating. In summer, my expenses can get as low as $120 a month.Good luck mate, you seem to have a pretty solid plan. I'm sure you'll hit your goal pretty quickly.
But where the h*eck do you live for $150 to meet your monthly basic necessities?

Weekly Update #5
Productivity:
Wrote 1 informational article of 1386 words. Bad, bad, bad. This whole week is so boring and I felt absolutely forced to work throughout it. I couldn't manage to write the 2nd article, the words simply wouldn't come. We'll see about that content creation plan change for the next week. Hopefully, I'll feel more productive.
Stats For The Site
Here are the stats for the site. I won't comment on traffic since nothing changed really, a slight increase but still the usual expected stuff.

This one is too interesting not to comment on. This is the first week with double figures on Amazon I ever had. The end of the month is usually when most of the orders are made. In this case, the end of the month was mid-week, and that's why the earnings for this particular week are so high.
Notice the $3 bonus. I have no idea what the bonus is for and what kind of purchases or actions are eligible for this bonus. I won't complain and will take it, as it made this the first double figures week we had, which I'm very happy about.
One thing that gives me a lot of hope is that most of the traffic to my site still comes from informational articles. That means that I can expect huge gains when the buyer intent articles actually start ranking.
Productivity For The Week:
Articles published: 7 (4 buyer intent and 3 informational)
Words written: 15367
Compared To Last Week: -1259 words and -2 articles
I'm obviously struggling. The momentum from the start of the journey is slowly wearing out, and I'm feeling more and more forced to work. Next week, some changes will be made to get this sorted out.
That's it for this week, guys! See you on Monday, and stay safe!
Thanks for the advice, man! I really appreciate that you're following the journey week in, week out, it means a lot to me! You are right, I'm sometimes too hard on myself, but that's because the point of this journey is, as I stated in the opening post, about persistence, hard work, and discipline. I'm an extremely lazy person, to a point where only self-preservation is a motivator for doing things. That's why I think this approach of constantly improving is ideal as it will keep me working.Mate, do not be too hard on yourself. We all experience fluctuations of motivation, some week is better some week is worse... It is important that you kept going regardless, and still managed 1 article/day.
Maybe you can try to do some additional keyword research, finding some topics within your niche which will add more variety to your writing--so the days do not resemble each other that much.
Anyway, the most important thing is to keep your goal on your mind. You want to end this construction "slavery" once and for all, and enjoy a much better and healthier life.
Judging by your conversion rate and earnings even at this stage, and the low living costs in your place, I have no doubt that if you keep it going for 6 months with at least 1 article/day you'll earn more than enough from this, and won't ever have to return to construction work.
Envision the life you'll live once you get through this. Visualization can help a lot with motivation. And for you the changes will be truly profound if you see this through. So keep going!
Apr. 5, 2021 | Day 36
Productivity: Published 1 amazon buyer intent article of 2995 words and 1 informational article of 991 words for a total of 3986 words written today. Feeling much more productive than last week. Didn't change anything in terms of writing schedule or plan, but I'm still going to do so. It's just that I haven't figured it out, but I'm working on it. Very happy with the productivity today.

Struggling is a necessity for improvement, and while it might seem that I'm too hard on myself, I'm actually only aiming to constantly improve my work rate and discipline. When I don't improve, I tend to work less and less and start to feel bored, and that's when the decline happens in my case.
It's hard, but I expected it to be hard. 90% of my life I wasted on screwing around and doing nothing productive at all! That's why work is like torture for me now, but I deserve it for my past behavior and will make it right now, no matter how painful it might be.
Thank you, man! Yeah I don't want to go back to that shit, and that motivates me to a point, but the only thing that will truly set me free and make me financially independent is discipline and professionalism. That's what I'm trying to achieve here, and I'm sure that results will come if I do it for long enough!Just keep going,, man! You are going places!
Soon you will be at 27 a day!
Your motivation should be to work hard in order not to get back to your construction job![]()
Thanks!good luck
Nice OP
Apr. 6, 2021 | Day 37
Productivity: Published 1 amazon buyer intent article of 2922 words. I'm almost done figuring out a new content writing plan. Hope to start implementing it this week.
