How did you learn driving a car ?

Go for automatic gear easier that manual gear for beginners, find certified trainer , 30-60 hours of training is enough to pass the driving exam.
Totally agree. Friends and family will you teach you how they drive but not how testers expect you to drive. I did a 2 week course with early morning drives.

I learned to drive on my own, nobody taught me. Long before I actually drove a vehicle, I learned about driving by looking at drivers driving, I watched bus drivers working on the stick and I read a lot of books and watched videos about how to drive manual. When I finally got enough money to buy my first pickup truck, I did not drive it home, a friend drove it home for me. Because of the years of watching drivers doing work on the stick and watching videos about driving manual, I was familiar with how to shift gears but what was lacking was the actual experience and the actual feel of the shifting of the gears and the footwork that went along with it. I knew the rules, what was lacking was the actual experience of doing it. Before actually driving the pickup truck, I sat on it for about 30 minutes, practicing the shifting of gears, making sure that my feet and my right hand knew what they were doing. After 30 minutes of practicing, I started the truck and managed to go through the gate without any accident. When I was on the road, I realized that the years of watching drivers drive and the knowledge of how manual driving works really came in handy, all that I needed to work with was the feel of the steering wheel. After 5 minutes of driving, I became more comfident and I ventured out to busy streets. I managed to drive through heavy traffic without any accident. It pays to do research and study things before actually doing them.

Hah... This took me back to the happier and no-stress time in our lives :D

I was 14 when my dad started giving me a car, the old good Opel Kadet :D hahahahah

I was always saying how I'm going to my best friend which is some 300 meters from my house, of course, I was going all over the place :D

Police stopped me twice in that period, the first time I started panicking and so I pull on the gas pedal and start running, I didn't go too far lol
When they got me, I will never forget that moment when they pulled out the guns (2 cops) because they didn't know who I am and why in the hell am I running. DON'T DO THIS KIDS, IT'S STUPID!

2nd time it was 200km from my house :D Omg... It's not funny, don't do these stupid things.

Anyway, I've learned it myself somehow, my dad was with me 2, 3 times and that's it.

Driving school, I can't remember how many lessons I took, maybe 20. My friend was working there so he taught me how to drive a car, he was extremely patient and supportive.

You are better than me.

After I got my driving license, only one-time police caught me. I was very young and stupid and late somewhere. I almost lost my driving licence for fast driving and breaking few rules (he counted too many points  ), but the police officer knew my father so he only gave me a ticket and he said that he will tell everything to my father :suspicious: ....so stupid...

Now I try really hard to drive safely, especially and always with my kid, but I'm very often late, I have so much on my plate...I'm trying so hard to be the best mom but sometimes I feel like that chick from move Bad Moms instead lol
