If Your Website Gets Blacklisted By Akismet, Will It Affect Your SEO?

Hey guys,

I tried to comment on someone's wordpress and discovered my domain name has been blacklisted by akismet as spam.

I am wondering if this will affect my search engine ranking and SEO?

Email Akismet and say someone spammed your domain.

You can get un-blacklisted this way. Just be sure to spam web 2.0 properties linking to your sites from now on.

Usually when you post it will say "thank you your comment is awaiting moderation". When you're banned it won't say anything.

That's not always the case though because some templates don't say "your comment is awaiting moderation" no matter if your banned or not. The best way is to comment on your friends blog or your own blog with askimet turned on and see if your comment went straight to spam or not.

as written above: go to the akismet page and report that you have been spammed. dude learn to read

why should that affect your SEO? google wont recognize that since thats traffic big G cant scan. i would really wonder myself if google checks akismet stats for different domains the akismet block will only prevent you from spamming more.

yeah I read about this yesterday. It is akismed bug.

I guess you have the same like I had:

trying to comment and when you submit your commnet you see just a blank page.

It is a Akismed bug and they will fix this in next realise I guess. Read more at 'G'
