[HELP] Question about Google shopping ads

Hi all,

Question about Google shopping ads.

I have a general store with about 40-50 products set my bid strategy to maximise clicks at €0.30 - started at 25 March.

So far I have 9.51K Impressions with 51 clicks, CTR 0.53%

CTR is not high in comparison to the impressions, but still had some clicks but no sales. I'm not sure how to optimize.
I tried, changing prices based on what competitors are doing for the products that get the most clicks and tested my store on page speed etc which seems all decent.

Any thoughts on this?

If you only have 51 clicks it's normal to have no sales yet. If your store is good you can expect a conversion rate of 1%, so you would need about 100 clicks in order to make a sale. Very few stores go over 1%.
So, I would suggest trying to optimize your store for conversions by having nice graphics, high quality product images, detailed descriptions, a smooth checkout process, an easy navigation, visible 5 stars reviews, coupons, a search box that actually works, and so on.

CVR depends on multiple factors. Some industries are lucky to get a 0.5%, others get average 5% or higher.

Depends on traffic quality, ads optimisation, landing page relatability, value provided , and a ton of other stuff!

Yes, conversion rate depends on a lof of factors, but 1% is a very good result in most cases.
I've been to a conference with the top 3 richest e-commerce CEOs in my country who run several multilingual stores, ship worldwide and make billions.
They all said 0,8% is already above average and this was also confirmed later by some representatives of the most popular credit card gateway in my country (think of it like Stripe).
I'm also speaking from experience, my best was 1,5% and I'm quite experienced with e-stores.
I dare you to find an e-store store with a 5% conversion rate.

That is a very small number of clicks to reach any conclusion. Your CTR seems to be low; work on the keywords, product titles, images to increase it initially. Are you doing the smart campaign or standard?

Granted this was over Q4, but my main store had an 8% for a week. Then went back down to 2.5% -3%

Sales funnels tend to have higher conversion rates than storefronts though.

F+S offers have 10%+ in survival and cooking niches for US traffic, on average.

That's a great result. Your traffic is probably laser targeted and people who come visit your store are really interested in buying what you're selling. Also, the fact that it was during Q4 probably helped a lot.
And yes, through sales funnel you can have a higher conversion rate. When I said 1% I meant a global conversion rate, including all sources (organic, paid ads, social, email marketing, etc), but if I only count email marketing I can go to 3% as well, or even more if I send discount codes.

Try not to sell products to people just like that, but first make them your followers (subscribers). This will gradually build trust when you send them various promotional offers in your newsletter. Offer discounts for the main product and plus give some small gift to the main product for free (a small item for free). Plus, limit such a promotion in time. Tell them they can get the gift only within 48 hours. For example, if you are selling a massager, then give some kind of an additional charger as a gift. It's just direct sales often don't work these days, so as a marketer, I myself use different tricks in my online business to build trust between me and my future customers. I hope it helps.

I used both.
Google has a better conversion rate because the traffic is more targeted (the ads are mainly shown when people google the products or the store name, so they are probably interested in buying).
Facebook ads has the potential to reach more people, but the traffic is less targeted (even though you can put a lot of filters and restrictions, it will never be as targeted as Google traffic).
