I have seen some people say that mommy blog guest post backlinks are pretty worthless after a few google updates Because they were abused in the past, so google gives them less power. Does anyone know for a fact this is true or are they just as good as other backlinks?

never heard of such thing. And how would google know which ones are mommy blogs?? I mean, some of them say it outright, but many others are just regular blogs. How does google know that they are "mommy blogs"?

They tend to be on sites that cover anything and everything.

Mommy teaches kids to cook = links to cooking sites.
Mommy teaches kids to get fit = link to health sites.
Mommy buys a puppy, links to pet sites.

Like any type of site, if it's a genuine site it's ok, if it's a link farm site then not so good.

If it is a genuine website it will have a very great result

to tell you the truth I hadn’t either until a few months back but I saw somewhere people talking about how those links used t9 be really easy to get and powerful and google decided to devalue them. I never looked into it but I find links like this all the time and couldnt Find that old post so was curious what people’s opinions on that subject were.

Where did you heard that? :D

Absolutely not true, they are a treasure! If their categories on the website are relevant to yours go for it!

I once gave a 30 minute PPT at an agency a few years ago ranting and raving about how worthless the mommy blogger links are, especially bc they cost money
I dont think a mommy blogger link is worth the 10 seconds of your time to fill out the contact form requesting the link.

It's not true, As it all depends on the site quality. Google never considers this niche Is worthless.

If that blog has high quality, Surely you can get a backlink from there.

Didn't hear anything like this! Actually, they can be quite a shot as they cover a vast area of topics. Best blender for home? Check these blenders mommies use. Best baby strollers? Check these strollers mommies choose for their babies.

Don't worry, they are just examples lol. I mean, if they are relevant to your site they can drive quite an amount of traffic.

I doubt this is the case, unless said blogs were used primarily for link creation.

Check the outgoing links to see if it's a link farm
