I have an idea about starting a niche website for pets (for selected pets).

I'm not a vet, so can I get a better rank (EAT) on Google?

Pet-related inch are YMYL category?

Depends on the blog if you are giving medical advice then you will need some kind of history or qualifications to go about making claims.

If the blog is just about owning and caring a pet with tips / tricks etc I don't see an issue.

If you go talking about medical things or say pests (my advice) would be to cover the topic lightly and then refer to an external site for more information that is either the manufactures site for said treatment or some kind of animal medical care site or something similar.
