[Journey] Growing my subreddit

I've been posting about this on Facebook for a couple of days, but I thought this is way more suitable here.

I've decided upon a niche and I'll be growing my subreddit for a while. It's been going steadily but I'm taking it up a notch.

Here's my progress so far:

24th of March - 11051
25th of March - 11671
26th of March - 12407
27th of March - 13014
28th of March - 13790

Rookie numbers, but I'm happy for now. I usually record my progress around 3 pm, should update today.
Let's keep it simple.

Look around as much as you can.

You can save yourself the hassle and buy a cheap book, but it won't give you something interesting to replicate.
Look at how the competition is growing and learn from that.

Seriously, look at what other people are doing on Reddit. There are different tweaks here and there, depending on the niche.
Basic stuff would be posting and crossposting. But if you need me to tell you that, you don't really know reddit.

A tip that I didn't find anywhere: keep the actions on the mod accounts as low as possible. Reddit can actually delete all communities created by a mod if they suspect that that account is against their ToS. Read that again.
