It's always a trade-off kind of situation with free tools i.e. what do I have to give or sacrifice in order to use this free tool? Often times it's as innocent as I give you my email address (so you can spam me/sell me stuff) and I get to use your free tool/service. That's a fair exchange for the most part (since I can use a fake/temp email and/or unsubscribe anyway). Other times, the trade-off is less obvious...like in your example of free VPN's...where no doubt their T&C's say that they will sell your data...but they know no-one reads their T&C's so no-one realises it's happening. Occasionally the trade-off is hidden...and/or fraudalent...so I have no idea I've had to give or sacrifice something. But...it's always trade-off. So...you just gotta keep your eyes open, and make a decision as to whether the free tool is going to be worth the potential trade.

the sad thing is that paid VPNs do that, too. Don't tell me to give examples of which VPNs do that cause I'm not in mood for googling. Just know that it's true.
And come to think of it I think even ad blockers have started doing it. There just isn't escaping from these mobsters

What's wrong even if they sell our data? Is there anything wrong going to happen with us if they sell our search history, our device name, internet operator name, or anything else?
What will happen if any company buys our data they will use it show relevant ads that's all they will do.

Hi Mate, When use free VPN its just a personal information and device info. Even in your finance info will be shared.
