Seen bunch of real websites that put all their guest posts inside a category often called "Guest Posts" or "Sponsored Posts"

Isn't this totally wrong?

Shouldn't a person hide the fact that these are guest posts? As they aren't allowed. Besides, the link won't provide any juice for the buyer.

This may as well affect the webmaster site because practically it told Google he sells guest posts.

Doesn't make more sense to try publish the guest post like a real article? That way, the seller won't waste an article and the buyer will get more juice.

Yes. Totally wrong. But 60% of real website owners are doing that.

And, still they are survived from Google updates and our sites are getting positive ranking improvement.

If you want exact answer for this. Don't worry "Google's John mueller" will tweet us like "Google never consider guest post or sponsored posts links".

Personally, I don't think google crawlers get the "category" of the blogs,
simply because in the source code, it's just a link, heading, or some span or div tag
the presence of the category text differs from one theme to another and it's kind of impossible for them to detect it properly

Yes. You are right. They are penalizing guest post farm sites.

Still real sites are enjoying and getting penny $$$ from sponsored posts/guest posts.

Never tried.. maybe they still think that your "real article" is the same guest-post - and they will ask you for money..

Site owner is the only person who decides if that worth to have such guest posts or sponsored posts or not and any other web master decides if that worth to use such places for link building.
I think that in each particular case decision is always personal.

Maybe they do not punish sites for that in bulk. Most likely they reduce the value of links places or get in such way.

guest post and sponsor post is different, sponsor post is mainly for the the products, but guest post is for the ranking of the site, most admins build links or write articles for other sites, but you will get punishment if google find that you are making efforts to get the rank or traffic on purpose
