Are views good enough for rank increase? Or is CTR required?

I am wanting to do some tests, but I figured i'd ask here first:

Can I view a video repeatedly with mobile proxies and will that be enough to increase the ranking of the video for the search term?

Or will I need to use the search term, and then find the video, and then watch? All the while using mobile proxies?

Thanks

Both will have the same effect from my experience

Watching from the same mobile phone will probably count as 1 view even with proxies. They track the phones.

You can't view the same video with proxies, youtube will regognise it after a couple of views.

Hundreds of signals can influence how well a YT video would rank.

From my own personal experience in running a couple of YT channels, the 3 most important factors, in order, are:
  1. Average % View Duration.
  2. CTR
  3. Views

You can still view on the same device IF you use multiple PVA accounts. I even tried this on the same IP same computer and it still worked but I had to login for that.
