Weird shit on the screen?

Am I the only one? It looks like avatars are attacking my screen when I look at all the forums. I know it sounds crazy since I've never seen this happen in any forum, but it's happening to me.

I just looked a little closer and it looks like ads are overtaking the forum in thumbnail form. I see an "In a Nutshell" and a "For Dummies" ad and some other stuff I can't recognize.

Ok just figured it out it looks like Amazon ads are eating the forum. I see "Womanizer".

Amazon link page appears on the left of the screen in every thread.

I saw Dave was signed in a little bit before this happened, so I'm sure this is a case of throwing up ads and testing where they show up. It's happened to me before.

It is an affiliated amazon widget, and does seem to be part of the site itself.
Maybe a new way to generate income for the forum?

Only happens for me when I use firefox browser. Well, at least the firewall let me through from firefox- it blocked me all yesterday from firefox but IE7 was fine. Frankly, I have had on and off problems with viewing this forum's content in firefox since I joined. No biggie- I just use IE7 and haven't questioned it until I was actually blocked yesterday just on firefox.

Yes the same for me if using firefox its a mess but, on IE7 it is fine. What a pity I usually use firefox.

You're right. In IE7 it looks great. The problem is FireFox is basically the webmasters official browser nowadays.

I was against FireFox when it came out, but slowly I was lubed up and slipped into it.
