FB organic reach - search for the best techniques

Hello everyone!

I have currently 4 FB pages in different topics/niches. These can be spectacular examples for the work of FB's algorithm & how the social giant decreases the organic reach for businesses to spend (more) money for ads.

After sharing my experience I would be grateful to hear some other experiences and ways to increase organic reaches from you guys, who are better at understanding FB.

Lets get started with the observations:

• web development & advertising agency
  • page started: 2010; followers: 5133; likes: 5151
  • page "slept" between 2017-2021
  • our last posts' organic reach: 173 (post created 6 days ago) and 18 (post created 1 day ago)
  • they used to run ads (2017, 2 paid posts)
• hobby/fishing niche
  • page started: 1 month ago; followers: 47; likes: 47
  • we were able to reach 651 people with the first post, but the last got only 24 views
• entertainment/disgusting foods from schools, etc.
  • page started: 2017; followers: 1805; likes: 1751
  • best reach: 2019 new year's eve post - 2K people
  • average reach: 350-550 people
• web & software development firm
  • page started: 2018
  • we didn't use to post on this, it wasn't important

Checking the first 3 pages we can clearly see that businesses always get lower reach numbers as not money oriented pages.
After this, what do you think? How could I increase the reach without ads?

Does regular posting help? Like posts in every 2-3 days? Writing longer posts is reasonable? Or short post with pictures would appear better?

In my opinion pretty much the only way to get organic reach is to post viral content and promote it a bit with paid ads (to get the ball rolling)

Thanks for your reply! I heard about using ads in a small amount but probably that would harm the whole story (because FB would try to sell us more and more ads and play with the numbers). Do you have any experiences in this?

I don't think Facebook analyzes it that deeply. For them all pages are potential advertisers and they don't care about your niche and whether you think it's money oriented. They decrease the reach for everybody. They are horrible. Still, I would expect "money-making" posts to be less interesting to people anyway.

Also keep in mind that your samples sizes are really small. You can be posting in the wrong times for the 1000 followers you have.

Pages that "sleep" for years have a very hard time gaining any reach back.
