I had several articles ranking for their keywords for quite a while until about a couple of weeks ago. They were originally published over a year and a half ago. I started publishing some new articles which were doing well at the very start (one article was ranking #11 for it's keyword literally the day after I published it).

Then all the rankings seem to drop, with the newer articles being nowhere on the first 3 pages of the SERPs.

There was no link building, and nothing blackhat. All of the articles were quality, helpful content 100% hand written by me and all over 2000 words each.

Is anyone else using Medium.com? Have you noticed this, or what are your results?

TBPO I don't know.

But my latest campaign was doing fine right until I started building medium links. And I'm seeing lots of red down arrows on my money site. I assumed it was a dance. It's just weird as everything else was giving net increases. Even after some dancing. The medium links have had the opposite effect.

I'm gonna wait another week or 2 before I decide what to do. Would like to hear other peoples thoughts.

Its not a surprise at all. Penalty of a website is like Google play ground, they are doing it by every algorithm update.

I think this is more widespread than Medium. The results and what's happening does not make much sense these days.

It's funny how Google claims that "relevance" is what they're interested in, yet when I'm searching for things I find that their results are getting less and less relevant and just ranking establised web sites that are irrelevant. This is even true when I use the - and "" search operators - and still get the same crappy SERPs that aren't even related to what I'm searching for.

I'm thinking of making some Google stacks and pointing them at my Medium articles, with some GSA links to the Google stacks as well. What do you guys think.

Google has to attract the masses. And the masses are stupid. But guess what? So is Google. Never stop trying to exploit those bitches.

I think stacks would be ok. I would also try to add some targeted PBN links. A press release here & there.
Only you know how much the keywords or business model really is worth investing in.

But I would try to add more than just a stack. Overstacking could look weird to the bots. Like gym rats who overstack steroids with insulin. Then become fat from the insulin. And literally none inject vitamins cause they have no idea that injectable vitamins are what really potentiates roids more than anything (or natural testosterone or DHEA). Allowing you to easily cut the dose of testosterone by 2/3. Oral vitamins can't do this since basic B-1 only absorbs around 5.6%. Injectable is near 100%. Injectable vitamins with roids is the right diversity.

If diversity can amplify biological states, it can likely amplify the bots. Just keep tweaking your links towards green arrows. Slow & deliberate..

Thanks! Would you aim those links at the Medium articles or at the Google stacks?
