My Pagerank Finally Updated!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, i have been trying to get this one website just up to at least pagerank 1, but its 3!

You will think this is not that amazing, but for me it is..

I only recently found out that google only updates pagerank once every 3 months or something. Which is why before i was getting so frustrated as i thought it updated within a day or something.

Well yeah, i have noticed a difference in traffic, and im getting a load more emails for orders, which means that its made a difference for me to go from pr 0 to 3.

Oh and btw, i dont know why its pr3 because i eventually gave up and stopped maintaining the backlinks and now i only have like 13 and only 1 of them are pr1. Which is weird. Oh well im not complaining!

PR is constant and realtime. [whisper] It also makes practically no difference to anything, apart from you obviously [/whisper] They just only make PR public every so often, when they can be arsed, like every few months or something, which is why many slower of mind believe they just got a PR boost. He wasn't being a retard, it's true. Pagerank is in realtime, the update you saw was just what was made visible. Any changes in traffic is coincidental.

U can use Searchsatuse (FF plugin) to see your real rank even before the update

Good for you if it brings you traffic. I have a site which is barely 5months old and most of the pages in the site are either PR5 or PR5. But this has not translated into traffic so I don't get too excited about page rank. And I got those page ranks when the site was about 3 months old.

I just noticed that my site finally achieved a PR1 yesterday. I only have backlinks to the site, none of which are indexed in google yet. I built a crappy 6 spoke linkwheel(with spun content on each web 2.0 property - closed linkwheel might I add also) for the site 3 weeks ago, and the site/domain itself is only 5 weeks old.

I agree that any traffic spike you may have received is coincidental because my site's traffic has not changed. In my opinion, PR is negligible in terms of traffic due to the fact that I have multiple PR0 sites that get way more traffic than my PR1 site. It's your method of promotion of the site that really matters. Quality > quanitity.
