Is anyone still making money doing dropshipping?
I'm seeing so many YouTube videos of "gurus" claiming that it's super easy...
1) Find a product on Ali Express
2) Setup a Shopify store
3) Advertise on Facebook via CBO (Campaign Budget Optimization)
4) Make money with the conversion pixel set to "purchase"
I can tell you with 100% certainty it's not that easy. What the "gurus" don't tell you is that Ali Express product prices are quite high...
Example - Legging will cost you $15
Then the shipping will cost you $2
Then the "sales tax" will cost you $2
So you're already at $19 for expenses, then you got the Facebook advertising AND if you're in the USA; the IRS taxes on your profits.
So you're left making $2-3 if you are lucky per product sold.
The Facebook advertising is also super expensive and you will almost certainly not be profitable.
Is anyone else experiencing something similar?
The annoying thing is all these "gurus" on YouTube are supposedly making 100+ sales a day just doing a set-and-forget with CBO, which makes zero sense.
Thoughts?
