DeFi is very powerful. Optimal way to generate the highest returns in 2021.

Thanks for the info @VSYNC and @PinguSpy

When I first opened this thread I didn't understand anything - its all foreign to me as an SEO guy, after a few days reading online and a helpful crypto dad video I have got into this DeFi.

Yesterday I put some money into getting my hands on Alloy via https://farm.hyperjump.fi and BUNNY via https://pancakebunny.finance/farm

ALLOY-BNB is currently at APR:1,667.79%

The alloy you farm can be used to build "hyper-mechs" which automatically earn alloy and can farm other tokens.

Do you guys have any thoughts on Hyper and this Alloy token? It shot up to $2 yesterday and is only a day or so old

I haven’t looked into that project but I will do mate.

I’m always a bit wary of anything that was only very recently launched bc I like to have a good amount of time the project has run without issues before putting my cash there.

Will take a look at this one though as it’s the first I’ve heard of it.

Defi? That’s so 2020.
We on NFTs.

Personally I’m not a fan of NFTs and think a lot of people are going to lose a shitload of money.

DeFi provides tangible and practical value to people, NFTs seem to be all about hype. I think it’s an artifially inflated market and those NFTs will be worth hardly anything once the market collapses.

Could be wrong though, but it seems like a bad place to put significant amounts of cash. Maybe not so bad for anyone trying to quickly get in and out.

Wish I spent my early childhood looking at crypto & online marketing vs playing free online RPG's... I would of been a millionaire today :(

Funnily enough the new generation of blockchain based gaming platfroms promoting the new 'Play to Earn' ethos might still tap into your gamer self :-p like the folks from Gala Games are doing with their new platform. Running nodes for their ecosystem has been profitable to say the least.

Don't give up your thirst for gaming yet!

damn i've been in crypto since bitcoin faucets and defi is the way to go!

by the way always have an exit strategy in crypto. honestly 10x should be it as crypte is too volatile.

you will lose your shirt if you get too greedy and want 20x on everything!

Yeah 100% mate... defi might have a lot of benefits but there is a shiteload of risk in the space right now too.

So is there 2-3 project that are reasonable safe?
Well i search through a lot of project and a lot of them looks like scam imo or rug.

I haven’t read the whole topic. I read only the first page. You must be aware of that the apy like 800% doesn’t last too long.
You must be first in the project to get reasonable apy.
When something is shilled on YT it’s too late.
I mean of yield farming.
Because shilling for gems is powerful

There's certainly a top tier of defi platforms that are more safe, basically the one's who's tokens have gone gangbuster.. AAVE, COMPOUND, MAKER, CURVE, UNISWAP, SYNTHETIX, Y.EARN and (kind of) SUSHISWAP .. all considered to have proven themselves over the course of months to safe(r). None are 100% safe, but these are most of the way there.

Right, and you need to be constantly flexible and able to transition from farm to farm if you're trying to max out yield. If you're happy with 50%. APR then it's a set and forget situation with almost no requirements other than checking in every now and then.

I have not understood anything from all the technical jargons, just let me know whether I can sell and recover the gains anytime or I will have to find a buyer to sell it first and If I have to sell anytime urgently, who is going to pay for it?

If you don't understand anything from this thread then do not stake your money in defi platforms, you will likely lose it at some point.

To answer your question, you provide liquidity (money) to trading pools and people will trade using your liquidity and the liquidity of everyone else that is providing liqudity, for which you and everyone else will receive a percentage of the trading fees generated that is proportionate to your stake (if you own 50% of liq in a pool, you get 50% of trading fees).

Another technique :p

Do you think buying pancake and stake for one year is a good idea ?
For now there is apy 100% + and its the same coin so there is no imp loss

After a week of messing around DeFi platforms the biggest surprise to me is how bad a lot of these sites / exchanges look.

Maybe its my IM / SEO background but the MS paint tier logos, basic layouts really have me scratching my head.

Looking at the source codes shows they are all using the same or very similar frameworks / templates (not sure the correct terminology) - anyone shed some light on this?

That being said, there is crazy money being made here.

Currently in $Cake, $Alloy, $Banana(lol) & the one that looks the most "professional" $GFCE

There's deliberately a low key design style to these platforms.. they're not trying to look sharp, and most of these platforms' Telegram groups are filled with memes of different kinds of cartoon foods, unicorns, and llamas.

The whole point is that defi is not trying to be mainstream.

You want a good laugh, check out Aavegotchi (https://aavegotchi.com/). This token of this project is currently worth $72,000,000.

I think because the code is unlicensed they just copy each other. Look at pancake and then at sushi swap. They look identical except the 5$ fiverr logo. It is really mind-blowing how cheap these sites look and how much money is involved. I watched a video about a defi site, where the youtube guy said just ignore that your transfered coins are showing in the wrong column under a different coin value... These sites look and work very beta.

PCS just got hacked though.

Farms on the BSC risky asf.
Was DNS hijacked along with Cream.finance about 4 or 5 hours ago. Backend completely safe, CAKE price remained relatively buoyant so far, smart contracts and funds 150% safu.

DNS hijacking can happen to any site, not just BSC, and it's got nothing to do with the blockchain itself.

Saying that, yeah.. pretty retarded to even have a 1% chance your platform could be DNS-jacked. Apparently both PCS and Cream have their domains at Godaddy and there's the claim that's the way the attack was carried out.
