5 VPS and a dedicated server burned down ....

Yesterday, and as many have heard, an Ovh datacenter burned to the ground due to a fire.

During this, I lost 5 VPS and a dedicated server hosted in the location.
Unfortunate week.........

Move to azure, they offer redundancy, from redundant racks to redundant locations. They are really good for this. You can get two datacentres in the same region too with a certain distance apart to account for natural disasters, whilst keeping latency low.

Were the backups also destroyed? If so, do you have external backups?

I dodged a bullet there. Client of mine had a server there, we needed to upgrade so moved him to another server in another DC at the end of February

and backup remotely, off site. I personally keep two backups for each client.

The backup doesnt work. Indeed all the vps and the server are not showing at all in the manager.

Last backup i have is for 2019. So i have to recreate almost everything ..

because the servers don’t exist anymore, you would have to take your backup and put it on a new server. And 2019.... wow. If your site was mostly static you could get away with uploading that backup. Perhaps Google might have some of your pages in cache, which you could use to recreate other pages. If it’s a dynamic site, sorry, you’re screwed. Weekly backups is a minimum. Some of my clients have 12 hour backups because of dynamic sites.
