I'm researching the THETA token and I think that I should dive in on the dips in march and april.

Do you think it's good for HODL?

You may ask why march and april? Because THETA will launch their mainnet 3.0 wich has some features that I think will help the price of THETA grow.

If you are hearing about THETA for the first time. This is a token of the Theta network wich is a basically a decentralized p2p CDN based on blockchain technology wich is capable enough to "host" streaming services. Also known as web 3.0

Theta network is currently in partnership with Google, Samsung and Sony which are running THETA Guardian Nodes.

I bought some Theta a few days ago, I believe it can 10x this summer.

I think you may be right.

My only concern is that THETA is a ERC-20 token and I personally think that the Ethereum blockchain has many flaws and won't be able to sustain Theta's business model in long term. I hope they realize that and migrate to their own blockchain.

Cryptokitties skyrocketed the GAS fees on the Ethereum blockchain back in 2017 when it became viral and this may happen again if THETA becomes viral.

Anyway, I really like their idea and will probably buy some too :D

Just buy, altcoins are gonna go up anyway because BTC will go up as they're so heavily correlated.

Yeah of course you should buy something that is 40x up in a year already. Let’s go cryptotards!

Are you willing to share what other altcoins you are holding right now?

I'm also on your opinion about alts and I'm currently researching as many as I could, because I'm expecting BTC price to drop by the end of March (I have my sources, but I strongly suggest to NOT blindly believe this and do your own research). I don't want to miss the opportunity to buy some good alts at low price when this happens.

BTC will correct itself and then go upwards again for a while.

ENJ, SAND, CRO, THETA, VET, EGLD, BAT

Mostly hold ENJ, CRO, and VET in that order.

I hold Shopping.io (SPI) and Exeedme (XED) - the second grew by 70% today before going back, surely has a lot potential.

Thanks for the research fuel guys :)

Do share your findings here when you've done your research.

I think I find interesting only THETA and EGLD in your list.

I was holding some EGLD myself (bought it at $70), but cashed out all of it when it dropped from ATH to $180. My personal fears about EGLD are that the founders are Romanian (no hard feelings fellow romanians). I'm myself from The Balkans and I know how fast someone can disappear with people's money :D.

I think SPI is a dead cause in a long term. If I understand their business model right then they are like a payment gateway which can be used to buy stuff from websites that don't offer payment in crypto. If that's the case then SPI will slowly die while most of the websites start to accept crypto as payment method. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I cash out once it gets available on a major platform - not holding for long term. Example if they put them on Binance, ill wait for a pump then I am out :)

I have been doing research for 3 years now and I see highest potential in one coin - Algo and i have high hopes in it. Only $300 there, but i will stake a few thousands in a few days if it does not blow by then

Nearly all the coins on my list went up quite a bit actually despite the market generally going downwards, except CRO which went 1 % down.

GRT also seems interesting.

And Algo, I can't take it seriously anymore. People on crypto Discord channels troll about it all the time.

What's your take on it? Where's the hope coming from?

Well I'm really careful with the alts and don't hold most of them for long periods. I was giving hope on EGLD, but I told you what stops me to hold it longer period.

I've traded ADA, XPR, XLM, DOGE and of course ETH (if it's still considered alt), but I've sold all of them when I've made enough profit from them.

Basically I'm using the alts to trade them to stable coins when the profit is enough and accumulate capital to buy BTC at the dips.

But now I think the crypto world has matured enough and I'm looking for alts that may explode in near future.

One of those alts I think will be THETA.

I also believe that Libocoin (LBY) will get huge in 1-2 years. Check their white paper and you will be amazed.

Anyway I strongly suggest to do your research before investing in anything that I'm interested in. You may have different goals and those cryptos may not suit them.

So to get the thread back to THETA maybe I should change my question to "Tell me why I shouldn't invest in THETA?" :D

Its a legit project and will probably do nicely over the long term. Read about AAVE, and VET (VeChain) too.

From cointelegraph :

Other noteworthy Theta partners include NASA, which hosts a channel that live streams rocket launches and most recently a live feed from a Mars rover. World Series of Poker has also joined with Theta and its channel offers non-stop coverage of the world poker tour.

Still lot of potential and it can move up even more. Even bitcoin is multiple times of initial value , still people invest in it.

It has mooned and thus there is no scope ? How is that? There are coins that went 1000 times in one year.
Long story short, you don't invest on an absolute peak or ATH area. Sounds more like a FOMO than a smart trade for me AKA risk VS reward is too high at the moment. But it may be just me. Good luck though. ;)
