Hi guys,

Quick question; I've been submitting articles to ezine for backlink purposes for one of my white hat sites, its a bit of a slow process but I figure the 2 backlinks I get per article are worth a bit of weight with ezine being an authorative site? Anyway, I was thinking, what if I then submit the exact same article to goarticles after my ezine one has been approved? I mean goarticles are auto accepted and the articles are only there for backlink purposes (Im not really trying to rank with them, but if I do then bonus!) And since the ezine one will already be live everything should be good right?

Can anyone see a problem with this?

Thanks

i usually post 1 article to 5 article sites. if u post the article to 2 article directories and after that if u try to create a hubpage then your hub will be treated as spam in hubpages.com

you can post 1 article to as many article dir you want

Thanks for clearing that up. And yeh, howard your right, I think as long as the article is already live on ezine then I cant see there being a problem submitting it to goarticles + maybe some other sites after.

I always thought one article per submission to avoid duplicate content penalty if there is such thing. Like what's the point of getting a low pr backlink, and I'm pretty sure duplicate content will give you a rubbish pr.

There's only a Goggle penalty if you publish duplicate content on your own website (having the same content on different pages of your own site).

Alright so I can write one article about the niche of my site and drop my link in there then submit to ezine. After it gets accepted on ezine I can then proceed to submit it to however many other article sites that I want?

would like to know if there is any penalty, i have tons of ezine only articles

If you just send it in directories, I think there wont be any G penalty.. But if its not a directory instead its your own site with the article, then the penalty will be implemented.

What about having the article in two spots - on ezine, and on your site? And the link on ezine links to the same article on your site?

I don't see any problem with this myself. As long as it has gone live on ezinearticles it should be ok. I was just about to do this in the next few days. I think the problem only occurs when your actual site starts producing duplicate content (though i might be wrong).

I've done this to great effect many times to hundreds of article dirs. It's definitely well worth it.

I will try to help out by answering several questions here ("mini" article marketing course).

1.) As mentioned, the "duplicate content penalty" is pretty much a MYTH. You should avoid duplicate content on YOUR OWN website. However, Google doesn't "penalize" you for it. They just ignore it. To prove this point, does anyone out there use a hosted Wordpress blog? (rhetorical question!!!) Do you realize that for each tag and category you assign a post to, that Wordpress creates a separate "page" on your site that contains the same article as your original post. There is also a duplicate of it on your archive pages. So one post on your blog could have at least three (or more) "duplicates" on your site.
*NOTE: Plugins like All-in-one-SEO have a setting to tell Wordpress to not list these pages in the XML Sitemap when it is built. Then Google will not see them.

2.) There is no such thing as "duplicate content" when it is on different websites and you are doing a search. Google will show multiple listings of the same exact article wherever it happens to be found. Try it and see for yourself. Put a phrase from an article that is posted on multiple sites in quotes and do a search on Google. It will list them both (if they are indexed). See items below for info on how to avoid this...

3.) The part of the "duplicate content penalty" that is true is not actually a penalty. It is just the absence of "link juice" that you could have obtained. If Google finds multiples of the same content with links pointing to your site, it will probably give you credit for one of the links and ignore the rest of them.

4.) If you are going to submit the exact same article to multiple sites, submitting to ezinearticles first is probably smart. Technically, it shouldn't matter, as long as the other sites list THE SAME PERSON as the author. Ezinearticles will still allow an article that is posted on other sites as long as it is attributed to the same person (THEY WILL CHECK!).

5.) Assuming that you are using articles to build backlinks (most people are), you should try to get the most bang for you buck and submit your articles to multiple sites.

6.) The best way to do this is with a program/service that does submissions for you. Most of these also provide an "article spinner" that lets you use the same base article and "spin" it into hundreds of unique variations. This can GREATLY increase the value of your articles and lead to many more links that are counted by Google.

Hope all this stuff helps some of you a little. I have listed some programs/services below that can help with your article marketing.

Code:
Free (for a short while) article spinner program - http://thebestspinner.com/
ArticleBot - Spin & submit to 100s of article sites - http://www.incansoft.com/IS0030.php
MyArticleNetwork - Spin & submit to blog network - http://www.myarticlenetwork.com/25021.html

Well, I am all curious google penalty with duplicate content with below scenario:

1) Partial of phrase/paragraphs from other blog
2) Mixtures of phrase/paragraphs from different blog
3) Duplicate whole articles but giving credits to the original creator

Also, I am wondering about the penalty mentioned is meaning deindex from google search or banned from adsense.

Thanks
