Red Wings Baby YAYYYYYY!

:( I'm about an hour and a half north of Pittsburgh right now and people are all bummed out. All in all, the Red Wings definitely played a much better series. Handled the puck better and were murdering heads on defense. Pretty close at the end there though and the game a few nights ago was awesome.

Ehhh, I stayed up for that game 5 loss that wasn't fun :) (for a wings fan).

But yah, they definitely outplayed em. It was nutzo in this town right next to where I live. People rioting the streets (nothing violent) but just mayhem.

Once the cops showed up in full riot gear I bounced.

Good for the Wings, I was expecting the Pens to put up a better fight

Ahh Smitty, I'm a die hard Pens fan!

I live right in the burgh, talk about almost puking last night. Red Wings clear cut best team the Pens have faced, but for every good game Fleury has he has a bad one, and yesterday was a clear cut example of that.

He let in two flukes that the Pens couldn't rebound from. Talk about depressing. It's been a great two months though.

I'm glad I can finally focus on something else now.

Gotta love those Wings! It was nice to see some of the older guys win one more.

I'm sure McCarty and Chelios will fade into the sunset after this one, so it's nice to see them go out on top.

Lol, well someone has to be the victor and unfortunately someone has to lose.

But I agree two of those goals were flukes, but they went in and thats all that counts. Gotta love the one where Fleury sat on the puck and it pushed itself in.

I live in St. Louis, and a Blues fan.
But I could not be happier for Dallas Drake, he is a real cool guy.
I had the pleasure of meeting him once, and he was just an ordinary guy, nice as hell.

So as painful as it was, I was a Red Wings fan for the finals. :)

yea baby, like smitty said damn it was hard to stay up till one in the morning watching that game 5 especially after they could have put them out if they wouldn't have given up a goal with 33 seconds left.

either way the better team came out on top. :D

Detroiter here too! Westside! Go Wings! Too bad the pistons couldn't do it...But we all still say "Deeee-troit Basket-Baaall"!

Way to go Wings! I can't wait to go to the parade tomorrow!!!

Fleury might of been soft in game 6 but I thought he was by far the best penguin out there, without him it's an easy 4 and out, he was fantastic and wish Detroit could get him.

Sid's the best but somebody needs to show him how to be humble, quite the little boy he showed to be with the "we didn't play catch up" and "we lost by one shot" excuses. He probably still thinks hes got the better team.

If the pens stay together they will win one unless Crosby refuses to grow up then he will become Sheed.

Naa, Crosby's okay... those are canned responses for the media

The Wings played harder, that's all. They earned and deserve their glory.

The Pens (sadly as I'm from the 'Burgh myself) will have a tough time keeping that talented young team together. Between Crosby and Fleury they have little salary room left to resign anybody else.

It sucks that a young team like these guys in today's NHL have no chance of being a dynasty like they would have in the old days because it became such big business...

Oh well, Steelers training camp is just around the corner :)

Indeed. The game was a good series of learning experiences for the Pens.
