Hello, I'm pretty new to drop shipping and thinking of going into it with a small budget.

I was watching a video on YouTube of this guy doing dropshipping with eBay. This was his method:

> Find Item on Aliexpress
> List item on eBay with a mark up price
> Customer buys on eBay
> He buys the product on Aliexpress and send it to the customer that he got through eBay.

So, I said to myself, this seems pretty easy. However, when I did my research I found this on eBays' website.

However, listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed on eBay.

So, I'm a bit confused, he's doing it, yet, eBay said its not allowed.

Question #1: Does using the method above a legit method or no? Would it get me banned?
Question #2: If the method above is legit, is it alright to promote ebay products on facebook (facebook ads)?

I have a lot more questions :/

is it alright to promote ebay products on facebook (facebook ads)?

I dont recommend that AT ALL

About Dropshipping there are people doing it without any problem, but 1 thing that you should focus on is the delivery time, people there seem to lose it if the shipping takes so long and may ask for a refund, anything else you good to go, just warm the account first (this is important)

Thanks for the advice, I actually wouldn't choose a product to dropship that isn't fast shipping so that's good.

But why wouldn't you recommend Facebook ads? To be honest, that's what I was planning to use to get customers. I was gonna pay a decent amount them.

If you want to use fb ads, why don’t you just do normal dropshipping with Shopify?

Because Shopify costs to start and eBay doesn't require a starting fee etc.

I'm just testing to see if it the whole Facebook ads thing would work with the product that i'm going to offer. Probably if it's sucessful, I would then start my own shopify.

Still don't get why using Facebook ads and eBay is a bad thing? Am I missing something

if i were in your shoes, DEFINITELY I'll Go for a Shopify store, use advanced apps, and cut the middle man (eBay & PayPal fees and the headache of eBay buyers too ) this way you won't always be afraid about the account getting suspended

And WHY THE HELL you will use Fb ads for an eBay product ???

Ads = Traffic
eBay already has that !!!!
for eBay you just need to look for good products to posts each 2 days and that's literally all
Good luck

Well, I think it's more than just listing on eBay and expecting sales without promotion, right? I mean I could list an item and no one see's it. Facebook ads would speed up the process.

I'd love to start a shopify website but I have a really small budget of lets say $20 on Facebook ads just to test to see if that will convert to a sale or two on eBay or even more. I wouldn't want to spend $29 a month and then $20 on Facebook ads and don't get a sale. That would be bad. Trying to cut the cost of opening a shopify store and just list then on ebay

Ebay won't get you any special traffic that you can't get on your own. Use shopify instead...

I am also trying to understand how to do dropshipping with Shopify.
Stuck with finding products which ships in less time in USA, any suggessions?

Go with shopify, yes its 29$ a month, but it has 14 day free trial and most apps have too,so you just close the store before they charge you anything and that's all. 14 days to spend 20 dollars on facebook ads is more than enough time. The only expense you will have is to buy a domain, It's not required but I would highly recommend it because it adds a lot of trust to your store, you can buy it for 1 dollar. But I think that 20 dollars and facebook ads won't get you any results, but it's just my opinion, you can always get lucky. Good luck!
