Ranking local GMB tip

I have experienced some good ranking increase by using this method. I have an actual local service based business and I'm actually in the areas I'm trying to rank. I don't know how this could work for trying to rank remotely..

Create a post or upload photos from the GMB app with your smartphone with in the actual locations you want to rank for and adding a desctiption with keywords in your posts. "make sure location setting is turned on your phone" Very simple but very effective for ranking GMB. Works 100x better than GEO tagging photos, which I don't think even works anymore.

If you have workers go out to people to provide a service give them a phone to take pictures of the work with location turned on. And ask the customer first of course...
You can add these to your gmb images too
