About Blockchain.com, that's an exchange isn't it? Exchanges aren't safe. They get hacked, they shut down, they do a gaypal and confiscate your cryptos, the owners die and the cryptos are lost forever, etc. I like taking payments on exchanges because there's no risk of a customer copy/pasting a crypto address and making a mistake, and then losing their money. But holding crypto on an exchange doesn't sit well with me. I'd rather die on my own sword.
I'd rather get hacked/robbed than be at the mercy of an exchange.
Having said that...
The precautions I do take is having a good password, which is written on a piece of paper, as well as my seed phrase is on a piece of paper. And I store the private keys for my cryptos on an external USB. In fact, I'll probably get a second USB, to have the private keys on 2 USBs, in case one of them simply stops working.
And of course I'm the security, because I know what to do and what not to do on the internet, so I don't really get viruses and such. But I did run Malwarescan before I installed Exodus, and it came clean.
Having said that, I'm new to all this, and I'm just human, and shit happens.
Would Trezor + Exodus be a good solution to increase security?
