Thoughts on Helium (HNT) - Buying or Mining or Nothing?

Hi guys, I recently came across Helium, a company that is trying to build a "peer-to-peer wireless network that provides a secure and cost-effective way for low-power Internet of Things devices to send data to and from the Internet." It seems like a good idea and they are offering their own crypto (HNT) (info at coinmarketcap) to buy a box and build their wireless network.

I like the idea, I like the project and it seems like there's a lot of potential to either mine or buy the crypto.

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on either the crypto or the mining.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like a good idea (and project) if you ask me, but do deeper research before pouring cash on it.

Thanks for answering. What kind of research would you do?

I looked at the team and it seems solid.
They received a lot of financing from reputable sources.
The number of partners is growing.
The number of hotspots is growing.

Are there any specific things I should be looking at on the crypto side?

Hy,
Any new info’s about that? I saw something you can order helium hotspot for free and you get 20% from total of mining.
if in your nearest/city exist more hotspots, you re mining more coins, if not, low number of coins.

I like this project and I already have a few HNT. I ordered and waiting my device to start mining.

I ordered 2 devices for myself but already got 125HNT from referrals

Sounds like a carbon-copy of Skycoin. Which turned out to be a ponzi-scheme. The creators got arrested and everyone lost their money.

Yeah me too, I ordered 50 hotspots, we'll see how it goes ;)

It might be or it might not but I believe in this one.

On the other hand, I already made enough profit trading HNT at the right times with a bit of luck. If the average mining numbers are correct in my area, I should cover the cost of the device in a short-period. We will see!

I'm waiting for my hotspot miner to arrive , should be here by August . Can't wait to start mining some HNT , cool project , long term small investement.

I ordered mine from Nebra but they're having some pretty shady updates, I guess I'll wait and see if they're legit or not. I know there was an issue with loose antennas on their 1st batch of orders....I ordered in April, so I should get mine by like November at this rate? Look at the price of HNT and look at the still very low number of total miners. There's like 200k+ in back order right now...Imagine what happens with HNT when suddenly they go from 38k miners to 238k+.....I'm not trying to get rich or anything, I missed bitcoin and watched a friend turn into a millionaire. I just researched this more than any other coin and I love the technology and what it can do. I'm just so excited about this tech, I even lost interest in what used to be my favorite , Monero!

I ordered in the end of February, still no update no shipping details. Nebra failed. People who ordered Bobcat after me got their hotspots already.

Yes, bobcats are better, I should have studied this at the time of my purchase. Oh well

Looks fine to me but do some research before proceeding to the next step.

Looks good, I will invest in it for sure.

If you have gp's to mine a crypto it's smalways good. If you just buy a shitcoin you risk of total loss on your investment.
