I have used it a couple of times but each time I got scared because of a couple of threads I read on reddit about people's houses getting raided because they made a purchase there and it was bought by some carders.

Felt like it could be only a matter of time before that might happen to you.

That has been what has prevented me using it more regularly.

They also have a disclaimer saying they would pay 10k for your legal fees. That doesn't inspire confidence though lol if they feel the need to put that there as they must think it could be a likely scenario and getting in such a case would still turn your life upside-down.

They have 72% positive on trustpilot so it must only be a very rare thing and the stories on reddit were from like 2016 but still you don't know for sure eh.

I never used that site, but I used to find Amazon Gift Cards for 70-80% which is basically the same I guess? You can look into that instead, to be more safe

Where were you getting them from? Localbitcoins/paxum similar or somewhere else?

The issue with that though is I read that you can easily get scammed as people can give you used giftcards or easily trick it somehow so you get bad ones, or use them after you bought them, stuff like that.

Yes, purse.io is safe and legit. Easy way to convert amazon giftcard to btc. Rate is the problem only.

On purse? I don't see how because they have banned buying giftcards there when I used it before. It would say giftcard purchases are not allowed.
