Unfortunately, unlike YouTube, TikTok currently doesn't run ads and pays content creators directly

The TikTok creator system is seriously flawed. First off, the CPM is complete trash, although it's understandable because there's only an ad every 4 or so posts, and the videos are really short. So sharing the money between those 4 people, when the videos together are just 40 seconds long is really hard. Hard to give people good CPM with that.
The serious concern comes in when you no longer hit the FYP when you start monetizing videos. Essentially making it useless and no way to make money.

Some of the more known "TikTokers" there receive money from music artists to create some dances for their songs so they go viral.

it was a huge campaign to compete with tiktok they released snapchat spotlight. not enrolled where i live, but there is a $1M winner who often moderates Clubhouse rooms, it didnt sound very hard to win
