Meta Tags - WP Blog Posts

Hi,

1.) I am wondering if you guys add meta tags to your WP blog posts or leave them empty?

In case of empty, Google will use your blog post H1 for the title tag most likely (and for the meta description Google will take it from your content whatever seems best for them).

2.) Also, I am wondering if you would still add meta tags in case the blog post does well in the rankings for keywords. Maybe it's better to leave it as it is, without meta tags because of this! Adding meta tags might cause ranking drops for example since you made changes.

I don't use those as I think they are useless for rankings.
If you have an already indexed page, leave it like that and don't change anything.

Can you explain why you think blog post Meta Tags are useless for rankings?
You don't use Meta Tags for your static WP pages either?
