I'm curious why big firms-like M*Z etc and big SEO's..are always sh*ting on DA...without DA you get ZERO traffic, you cant rank at all, your crap doesn't get indexed or snail mail indexing..and you die off...YES DA isn't PR, but its proximity to PR is better than staring into a dark abyss of nothing...and of course, its no surprise domains with no DA don't rank don't index, get placed on the second page of death..etc..

DA is extremely easy to manipulate and is just a vanity figure.

It's not without DA you get zero traffic - it's without links you get zero traffic, or at least that is what you mean. Although, that isn't actually true it's just a lot harder.

DR (Ahrefs) is a more trustworthy metric as they fixed a lot of the manipulation.

First of all, Moz doesn't shit on DA because they are the creators of it, so not sure what you're talking about there.

Second, DA is the most inaccurate metric. It's also the most easily gamed. The lowest quality services on here also use DA because of their ability to mainpulate.

Like the post above says, DR is a far more accurate metric and what most serious players use to filter through large lists of domains whether its for buying PBNs or guest posts, etc.

Here's some domains from a PBN seller on here who offers posts on DA50+ sites...

0 traffic. 0 keywords. Tons of crappy GSA links and none go beyond DR20. Over at Moz, these are DA50+ domains. Idiots both buy these links and sell these high DA links.

DA is trash.

Thinking high DA = more traffic or better rankings is incorrect. Correlation is not the same thing as causation, and there are plenty of examples where a lower DA website can outrank a high DA website.
In terms of people slating DA as a metric in general, like the posts above: it is probably the easiest metric to manipulate and there's no reason to use DA when you have better options like DR.

Yes, I understand your point, im not really thinking about low value PBN's though

Reason is because it's misleading.

nd of course, its no surprise domains with no DA don't rank don't index,
Not true.
I've stumbled upon a lot of weak sites ranking for long terms as I do kw research.
This can vastly differ with the niche.
DA is the only metric out there

this post got moved to black hat SEO..Jesus, since when is DA black hat...whats white hat standing in a cornfield and praying for "users" to share your "great" content"

First of all, DA doesn't have the slightest effect on traffic. Traffic is low that's because the site lacks proper SEO strategy. Again, DA is a 3rd party metric, it doesn't have anything to do with ranking.

and what exactly do you consider to be a proper strategy and don't say great content and infographics..to me that sounds like billable hour talk like SEO firms that charge 200K a year and talk about strategy and give you bot ads and 25 dollar fiver articles...or maybe even a few PBR links or even HARO...all for a great price...200k yearly..

and sure it does, DA affects ranking...ability to rank in SERPS...but sure DA by itself has no ability to give site traffic without content on a page, so SEOs say DA doesn't matter....but DR-DA helps a page get ranked on the 1st page...site speed equals about 1% or less of a site's rankings...so yea it's important..that's why the biggest sites with the most traffic all have great speed(they don't), people need some metric to understand how they are doing. DA-DR it matters that's why sites with low or no DR or DA cant get high-volume KW's indexed...but the second a junk article by a high DR site gets published the page is indexed right away and given first-page space...

It's funny people get pissed off when they hear people talk about DA or DR, saying it doesn't matter, so apparently, all the evidence of high DA-DR sites ranking much better than lower DA-DR sites is just false..im not sure why the evidence of this data is so displeasing...and you hear that there factors that are helping that page rank besides quality links? then what are those exactly..its not the D+ score in GT Metrix, perhaps its the 50mm in ad spend or the content farm words with a few stock images that are rocking it to #1

but then again what do I know....

the wordplay is sure your right DA doesn't matter it's the quality links that matter but what measures quality links that we have access to..?

I second this.

Who hurt you Mike?

Most PBNs actually are hidden from these types of tools, so a lot of the best blackhat sites will actually be really low DR / DA anyway.

But yes, a site with links will outrank a site without links almost all the time, it's a major metric.

SEO firms for the most part in my experience charge too much, having worked for several.

Again though, I will re-iterate, you can rank and get lots of traffic with very low incoming links you just have to go for very low competition keywords and for the most part its in the keyword research.

my favorite is the webmaster that charges 3k to install Woo Commerce..lol what a nice gig that is....btw if anyone needs that done, I will only charge 2950...
