That means almost everything you do on a daily basis lol starting from eating & exercising down to thinking critically or making social interactions. Nah, porn is not addictive. Food isn't either. In fact, these 2 (food and sex) are the primary rewards embedded in all of our brains, as they are necessary for a specie's survival.

Now adding more to the fact why porn isn't addictive... it's not, because you don't crave for it if you don't use it for a few hours or a day (like heroine for example). You don't get psychical pain if you stop watching porn and you have absolutely no risk of dying. You might say it's a psychological addiction for sure, but such addictions can be stopped instantly if you focus & tell yourself that you don't need that addiction, that there are better options out there (like real fucking sex for God's sake) or simply by keeping your mind occupied with other things rather than porn.

You're contradicting yourself to an extent. I don't like to nitpick but "Now adding more to the fact why porn isn't addictive" and "You might say it's a psychological addiction" definitely go against each other. A psychological addiction is surely an addiction like any other one as it falls under the addiction umbrella.

Food can be addictive because like anything else that alters brain chemicals it can take on a life of it's own to the addicted. It can replace an empty spot in a person's life and provide any specific, desirable feeling. The people who are 1000 pounds are proof of this. Of course these addictions come off as fairly petty, but they do happen. Take away food, pot, porn, etc from the addicted and they might not go through life threatening withdrawals, but stuff like severe migraines, depressive and bi-polar like mood swings as well as many other things can happen. Those symptoms themselves aren't life threatening, but can lead the addict to perform life threatening actions.

Over-obsession of anything, particularly fan's obsession with the (porn) celebrity goes to extreme levels. At that level, the fan only thinks of violence in any form if his /her idol is abused. When the abuser has a site or a name or email, then it will get hammered 24x7 with violent responses. You become a focus of their hate when they have your identity in the cross-hair -- your site/name/email/address/whatever...

It's kind of OCD, more killer though... the addict loses all his sense of reality (most of the time in his/her real life, he will act like a perfect gentleman or well-behaved lady, giving no clue that there is another power working within his/he mind), and becomes an intense secret loverboy/lovergirl (in his mind of course) of the pornstar. To the so addicted pervert mind, that pornstar performs solely for him/her. The mind loses all control and becomes obsessed, and in that phase anyone who abuse that pornstar becomes his/her villain/enemy no 1.

Now the obsession turns super violent and he/she retorts by hitting back -- with a threat through the first available medium -- the internet, and attacks your email/site/whatever he/she find handy. The more lethal type will begin finding you physically, an then he/she would go for the kill, --- literally if the situation is absolutely suitable, and the mind is totally deranged. That act makes him/her feel like he.she has come a lot closer to the idol. All a deranged mind's game, but try telling that to the loser... he has a vicious crime to commit to show his love his whole loyalty.

If not in real world action, he(/she) still follows it up to full effect in his mind. He becomes an uncontrollable stalker/killer (in thought or in deed, or in both). You're in a field which has more such graver dangers, so beware of what you do publicly or on your site. You can do well if you choose not to be overcritical of anyone, especially a porn-star, in the field. They have their own unknown killer guardians who will clean up the critic in totally. Sex is all powerful weapon in this field of porn to the over-obsessed deranged mind.

Haha. This was actually a pretty interesting thread -- albeit, full of judgement.

Just like some people can have a couple pints and be totally cool, others start looking for fights.

I never understood this, personally. When I drink, I just become very relaxed and just want to either let my mind wander into thinking about the future or something else that may be of interest for that day, listen to music, and / or anything else that's non-confrontational. Fighting is like waaaaaaaay at the bottom of the list of things to do when I drink.

I actually knew someone who had this issue, and they went to great lengths to break into Summit Circle to see Britney Spears.

There's a new Britney Spears documentary on HULU, where people who saw it are saying that there's no way in hell that Paparazzi should not be illegal. I've decided that I'm going to watch it.

I have issues with the porn industry, but not really for any of the reasons mentioned here. I don't see porn as being any different from anything else people can find themselves addicted to. I don't personally see porn as "the bad guy".

Porn didn't cause you to not have a girlfriend. Women watch porn, too.
Women own porn companies, run porn studios, control the cameras to record porn footage, write porn scripts, direct porn movies, work on porn crews, act in porn, host porn award ceremonies, hand out porn awards, win porn awards, talk about porn, and as said earlier, they also do watch porn.

Porn doesn't make people crazy. That's like saying, "Spoons make people fat."
