Hey, a friend of mine wants to use bitcoin in Ireland. He wants to be able to send btc and receive it. He tried to buy btc via bank on coinbase, however Ireland banks dont allow this. It seems impossible to be able send/receive BTC in Ireland. The only option that worked for him was to buy BTC on revolut, however its not possible to send BTC to other wallets outside Revolut.

Any suggestions how to fix this problem??

He can use paxfull and buy with western union

Use an intermediary bank that allows that.

You can open an account with some German banks for example.
And you have services like transferwise and paxful. Haven't tried these 2, but I hear people using them when the banks restricts operations with crypto exchanges.

Your friend can open a binance account and buy the coins via their p2p network.

Coin ATM, P2P like Hodl Hold, Paxful or Bisq.

If you want to try use sepa payment from Revolut to Binance but it needs your KYC also your bank will be know for withdrawal if you use exchange on your statement.

For withdrawal is useful coinbase which allow instant cash out via paypal.

Try Binance, it works worldwide.

But if Irish banks are blocking accessibility for bitcoin, are you sure it will work? Its an issue with Ireland bank , not with bitcoin platform itself in my opinion

Can you elaborate more on these P2P like Hodl Hold, Paxful or Bisq. how it would work?

I've successfully deposited money to Coinbase using an Irish bank (PTSB) or you can use Revolut to deposit money into Coinbase.
