Hi BHW!!!

So I have several big pinterest accounts, I am running a experiment in one account, I just did some pins from amazon (direct linking) at the moment I have sent 26,000 clicw to amazon with 0 sales.

Since I dont know a lot of amazon, I will like to know if this is normal?

In the pin I just put a brief description and a small call to action like " check out the price here".

Any input its welcome.

26k is a number too big, there should have been some sale. Are you sure the link is working well?

Are the products related to the niche or completely random? Are these people just looking for quality pictures or really want to buy it?
Try experimenting with the links, try out a purchase yourself to ensure everything's working well and then try again!

Thank you I will try buying, the pictures are pictures of the product, for example I have a board of coctel dresses, the link goes to the amazon dress that they saw on pinterest, so I believe is relevant.

I will check all my links thank you

Bot clicks! There's no way you had zero conversions with that amount of clicks. Amazon converts at 1% with even really poor traffic.

Do you know how can I check if I a bot is clicking?

In that account i have 1. 2m impressions, total followers of 662k

i did direct linking from facebook comment (i know i will get banned because amazon dont allow direct linking)
and got 2 sales yesterday with 500 clicks

Nowadays pinterest is sending loads of bots to check the pins on the platform , so must be bots .

I can confirm that. If the tracking Cookies have been set correctly, there had to be at least 10-50 sales.

I get approximately a 5% conversion rate on clicks to Amazon. A lot of the items I sell are not the ones I advertise, but the average price for the items I try to sell is about $700. 95% of my traffic is organic and 98% of my sales are to the USA.

I would expect you to sell something through Pinterest at least, but it depends on your target audience and your product.

Pinterest has the highest woman related purchase value of all social media platforms.
There is no way that with such amount of clicks you haven't made any sale.
Your setup must be quite wrong.

bro make a dropshipping site instead of making amazon rich, with those 26k clicks you could easily make a good profit when dropshipping

Not always. Many people fail with drop shipping sites. The best thing about Amazon affiliate is that you get sales from all of their purchases, so even if you are not targeting a buying or product keyword, you can still get sales from their normal amazon shopping. You always never have to worry about doing anything except spamming your link everywhere. I can link to a $10,000 pair of socks that nobody will ever buy, and I can still get sales because it is Amazon, and people still like to click the link because they want to see what a $10,000 pair of socks looks like.

Thank you all for the help, I will check the complete setup and I will buy something trough one of my links.

Just so you know, buying through your affiliate link will not show as a sale, if amazon account is same as associate one. They also disregard friend and family sales. You need to get someone random to make the test purchase.

Another thing is, have you listed Pinterest as one of your website/traffic sources within amazon associates account. You need to list sites your using to make sales. “Account Settings”, then click on “Edit your website list

Not in my experience. I can spam links anywhere without adding to my account settings and it will still credit me the sale and amazon has never cared.

Note that users open your links in pinterest browser, so 100% they dont login to their amazons accs like in chrome.

Most of these clicks come from Bots. Thats why no conversion.

Yes, you will still get credited the sales. However, if your account goes through manual review, it's just another excuse for them to ban your account. Better to play by the rules from day dot!

I'm personally moving away from amazon because of the massive reduction in commissions. My account hasn't had an issue in over 10 years, as I actually read the rules and kept an eye out for updates. Many newbies miss this simple step, and come back to BHW wondering why their account is banned.
