Where do I point the links that I buy?

Let's say my website name is called ''fornewmothers.com'' and I'm trying to make money selling baby stuff, like diapers.

If I buy links from BHW, do I point them to the homepage or to my main money making article? What is the correct ratio?

Also, what keywords do I choose?

Don't use any keywords in your anchor text. Keywords should be in the context. Anchor test should be a part of a sentence or plain url. It makes sense to write for new mothers as anchor text if it looks natural.

Yes, Ahrefs can do that. This is a common advice, although I'm not 100% sure that this is the best advice. There is a popular idea, that Google benchmarks the linkbuilding strategies within each niche to understand the ratios like @Psh suggested.

Personally, I don't truly believe that there is a "perfect" linkbuilding strategy to maximize your profits.

Linkbuilding is done with a pinch of logic and a pinch of blindfold. You can always go wrong if you link build like mad, but you can never go wrong if you do strategically, at a slow pace and with a extreme amount of diversity that makes it impossible to identify a pattern. Any other advice is 100% skewed. It's impossible to know for sure, which is the best linkbuilding strategy.

It would be a good idea to point a good chunk of them to internal pages. This will boost the ranking of those pages. It can also lead to lower bounce rate and return readers. Vary your anchor text depending on the page.
