Just set up an account with Malcare and installed it on a website that I thought had been cleaned. But guess what, it had not.
Malcare finds some malicious files still and its automatically cleaning them up.

Thanks for the recommendation @Festinger so far I am impressed.

Thanks for the recommendation. I just had a site hacked and redirected to a damn IPTV CPA offer. It scares the shit out of me to have one of my actual money sites hacked. Going hard on manual backups for 2 days now.

Too bad 'Malcare' doesn't exist on @Festinger 's vault. :D

Interesting, definitely will try this out now!

Guys try them out trust me. So basically this site in question had been manually cleaned already. But after I installed malcare it found a couple of compromised files and removed them for me - I guess those files may have let the hackers back in - and that is why so often you clean a site then the compromise comes back a few days later.

Even if it comes back now, I know that malcare is going to alert me straight away and clean it again. They also offer 3xmoney back guarantee if they can't remove the malware automatically.

And I am coupling this plugin up with duplicator pro for running offsite backups to Google drive. Together those two things feel like they are going to save me so much hassle, and add value to my client services.

You're right. It's a small price to pay to keep your sites safe.

Just bought for multiple sites. I have read two of your threads about this and it finally landed me to try it. Thanks for the recommendations David!

I am using it for all my websites, and I must say: it's better than WordFence - these guys know their stuff.

How would you quantify better than Wordfence please?

How would you quantify better than Wordfence please?

By the ability to scan your files off-site, which is better for your server performance.
Also, I like the basic hardening feature a lot.

WordFence can be pretty resourceful for shared hosting plans.
