Hi everybody,

This tuesday, I've launched a new website via Wordpress.
All the sh*tty work (plug GA, GSC, making Wordfence works etc) is done. I've work before launching the site (10 articles already written and ready to be published, 4 pages all written too and already published).

Here comes the pain : when I search site:mysite.com, I only see 1 article that is indexed by Google.
I head over GSC and see that there is 6 url's that have problems. Apparently, the problem comes from one little thing : the pages / articles have a "noindex" in the <meta name = robots> tag.
I've checked manually for all of the 6 pages / articles and I've found absolutely nothing. Here's what the code looks like :

I don't understand why Google don't index those articles / pages because there is no reason for me to not do it.

I've been submitting multiple times the new url's to GSC but it doesn't bother index one new article.
I've let two days pass to see if something change and nothing changes.

This morning, I've tried another thing : I've installed Instant Indexing plug-in by Rankmath.
But I can't add a new owner that hasn't a Gmail address so my problem isn't solved...

I really don't know what to do now.
If someone had the same problem and solved it, it would be really kindful !

Have a nice day !

New sites are in a sandbox of google it can take months before they come out, even then google is slow at indexing these days. What you can do is shoot some links, make sure all your articles are linked w each other. Shoot some social signals and wait till google indexes your articles

I put 5 articles for indexing through GSC and facebook page links and they were indexed next day. I then attempted to index 5 more urls in similiar fashion and three days have passed and not single url is indexed. Google is un predectible .

like others have said, social signals (facebook shares, (re)tweets, pins, etc) might do the trick. If they don't, there's not much you can do about it other than continue working on your site as if it was already indexed and wait for it to get out of the sandbox. New sites are usually treated like that...

I'm having problems as well..I posted a article 2500+ words in a 2 years old blog that i never had indexing problems. Now has been more than a week and still not indexed. I shared on facebook , twitter , pinterest , reddit , i made a guest post which was indexed in few hours but no luck. I posted two medium articles which were indexed as well but my article isnt indexed. Usually everything i posted on this blog got indexed in 2-3 days. In GSC shows as discovered but not indexed. I don't get it why they don't index it, article is really HQ and makes you want to read it.

Wait it out, brand new websites won't, takes time for new websites.

Wait, give it time.
You have a brand new site.
Get more content, build it up first.
It is very natural for it not to be indexed right of the bat.

New domain means wait for some time and trigger social signal to index faster

Thank you for all your responses.
I know it take time but I wondered if it was a serious problem or if it's just normal. I'm gonna "wait" and continue to work on my site and see if the problem goes with the time.

Have you checked your robots.txt file?

Yup. Nothing wrong in it too. That was the first thing I've checked !

Yeah.. Your story looks close to mine with another site haha

I can only quote krazylearner "Google is unpredectible".
I've heard that a plugin could resolve the problem but it seems that it works meh...

Did you use the Google robots.txt tester to see what version they have indexed? You may need to see the timestamp of the version they have compared to your live one. May be simple as clearing cache...

Best way is to trigger social signal since the site is brand new..

Just a update
I installed rank math instant indexing and shared the post again in facebook, reddit , pinterest and twitter. Today that post is indexed! Last night i posted a new article and used rank math plugin , post was indexed in 2 hours.
You might want to give it a try

It seems that the tester don't work for me. I get on an page wich tells me that I have no property but I'm logged in with GSC..
It seems that GSC took the first version of the sitemap I've sent anyway.
I really hope it's just a problem with GSC.

When you say social signal, you mean "sharing the posts and articles on Fb, Twitter, Pinterest ..." or "getting some shares on those social media" ?

Oh good !
I installed the plugin but it doesn't work for me... I get stuck at the 2.3 point (here's the article's url : https://rankmath.com/blog/google-indexing-api/)
