So I recently started focusing more on SEO, but I find it hard to stay motivated to write 1-2 articles every single day. It takes quite some time...

How do you guys stay motivated? Besides picking topics you find interesting of course.

I get the motivation from the songs. If I have a high enough mood, all you need is a song to keep up with the rhythm.

You can always use a good speech to text converter and then edit the copy in Grammarly or similar app followed by copyscape check. I guess that will reduce your hardship.

Also, regarding motivation, listen to people like Gray Vee, Robert Kiyosaki etc. Hope that helps!

First of all, you should write about something you are passionate about. This will make the process a lot easier.

Second, if there is a lack of passion regarding the topic, try to implement a goal (the vision for 2021, for example). To achieve that vision (a house, a car, a better computer, etc), you have to go through missions. One of the missions is to write that article (or those articles). Knowing where you want to be in x months will help you a lot.

Third, make sure each and every piece of content you write is the best you can do. Providing quality will bring you more clients.

Fourth, don't sell you cheap: Cheaper clients=headaches (I said it and I will say each time I have the chance). Start low and after you have a minimal amount of funds (in this point, you already have a portfolio), you can setup a fair hourly rate. Don't forget: Everytime you setup a project budget, most of the time you can just make it lower and not increased it (ex: If you ask your client to pay you $2/100 words, you cannot ask him to give you $10. You will lose that client. )

Cheers!

For myself I use it as a time to relax to be honest. I put on some music that I enjoy and just start writing away. However I think it is important not to do it all at once. While sometimes I can definitely do 3+ hours of content writing at once if I’m in the right mindset.
Usually though I break it up into smaller 1hour chunks followed by a 15-30 minute break. I find this keeps not only my quality up but my overall moral.

At the end of the day though you have to do what works best for you. Try different things while you are writing.

Content writing has always been a tedious task.
I'm sure that won't necessarily be the case for native speakers.
Some days I feel like writing a lot of text prior to sleep
Other days, I feel lazy looking at kw clusters

I don't write that much, I usually write tweets.
And when I see tweet stats (hundreds or even thousands of views), that motivates me to keep tweeting.

I'm always finding ways of a) understanding my psychology better in relation to content creation and b) reducing the effort I need to put in to get the results I need.

Time and time again I've found that I've technically had easily enough time to create the content I need to by a deadline, but the hard part is pushing myself to keep creating it in that timeframe.

That boils down to psychology and the trick I found that really helps is that I force myself to get excited by the thought of the content being completed.. that way I'm naturally pulled towards the end instead of having to push myself.

Also working smarter when creating content is absolutely essential. I map out every paragraph before creating a single word of content so that I can just go from section to section without having to pause and consider what's next.

Also (and I've said this about 5 times in BHW but no one seems to care that much) the best way I've found to work smarter, faster and easier when creating content is speaking it instead of typing it. I can create more than double as much content in the same period of time, even taking into account the new editing phase that's required.

It's way easier and the content I'm producing is now of an even higher standard than the content I was typing. I challenge any copywriter to switch to dictation for a month and then want to go back to typing at the end of the month.

Usually I jump on Youtube to gain that extra little motivation. Watch somebody talk about how they built a massive website with 100K+ visitors a month. Realize that your next article is another step closer to financial freedom and the chance to grow your site bigger.

Sometimes the layout is the hardest part. Next time you write, build a template for your content, organize H2 subheadings, include a helpful chart/table/diagram. Little details within the article will help you "fill-in the blanks" and provide better user experience when it is published. Sit back and wonder, if I was googling this topic, would this article satisfy my search query?

I blast music - or if I need concentration, have a quick wank to get that post nut clarity.
Mostly however, I just go force myself to write. I can do 3-5 2,000/word articles a day with just forcing myself thinking of the long term goal

At first, it was money. Now I can honestly say the community that has built around my website motivates me to keep going.

Yeah, blasting music definitely helps. Doing that, without taking a break in between, after a while I get into a zone. Same when I'm programming or doing other work. Once that interruption comes in though, I find it hard to get back into it...

I could also do 3-5x 2000 word articles per day for sure. But problem is I juggle multiple projects at once so I can't do the same thing all day long. 4 articles/day x 30 = 120 articles in a month. That would sure be a heck of a passive income in a year of doing that straight. Problem is consistency hehe

I keep on reading contents, listening to podcasts and I clear my mind to be able to write articles.

If you have interest in writing articles that you need not any kind of motivation.
So, do those things that you really like to do.

I've just started also focusing on one of my websites. it's a site that needs a lot of content.

What I did is set a small goal and stick to them every day. the goal is to write only 500 words every day (not 1 article per day, just 500 words).

I woke up earlier, and I started writing an article for around 4 hours with some music, and guess how much I wrote? I discovered that I reached 3000 words!! and the day after I wrote 1500+ words and after that 1500+ words .... and even if I have no mood, I will come back to the main goal which is 500 words. it's better than nothing.

Even if you have no mood at all, just write 500 bad words, and maybe you can update it later.

That's sick! I found my ways, although I've been slacking for like 2 weeks. I take a couple of shortcuts and just try to finish as fast as possible with psytrance in my ears :)

I'm not sure if you are writing for living or is it your own project. I prefer picking a niche that never bores me which allows to research and write day and night.

Coffee is a big deal and a cup of coffee at the beginning of any content is a must

Music that triggers the sweetest spots of work mode.
