From $1 to Million - Forex Journey

But I meant the part about my trades...since those are trades of the past...and my live trades are not posted anywhere. And I do not follow any so called strategy when looking for trades...so I am really curious how were you able to automate that part.

Your myfxbook shows your trade history. I used that data. I only need 5-10 profitable trades from anyome to sort of reverse engineer and find indicators that will emulate the results. But 100 trade history or more of profitable trades is a gold mine! I will not find the exact indicators you are using but I will find indicators that yield same or better results.

But its different to start with $10000 and different to start with $1. ;)
Yes, a difference in profit but the R% should be the same. R% of 10 on a 1 dollar account means 10 cents but on 100 dollar acount it means 1 dollar.

That is very interresting! I didn't even know my trading is tied to some indicators...but I guess it does then.
:D

So since you are scalping for a few pips at a time...I guess you use those indicators on small time frames?

That is perfect scalping as far as I can see(even though the history is hidden).
yes, that is the tweaking I mentioned. I lowered the TF and the holding time of the positions which means that the TP amount must also be reduced. BUT a lower TF means more signals to trade. So yeah, advantage and disadvantage.

But a 7-8 pip DD on $100 means nothing, but burns the small account. ;)

What do you use to find the indicators "responsible" for those trades?

Markets are not random. The chaos is organized. Price moves, get's stuck, advances, decreases at a certain level for a reason. Most commonly because there are buyers and sellers at a certain level fighting. Indicators pick up on this. They lagg but still give you a good picture.

I know that, obviously. I meant, what indicator you use to get signals.

I am really curious if this scalping method is sustainable long term! *Thumbs Up*

Tradingview

That is a platform to share/follow signals...there must be millions of ideas out there. I thought you use my past trades somehow...now I am confused.

Damn, this is not an easy journey! Congrats

I am curious myself! Backtesting of 1000s of positions gave really good results though. But markets are not always the same so I may need to tweak the method again if it starts making losses in a row.

Indicators I use: I look for 4 things: Volume, Volatility, Trend and Momentum. Any indicators that can show these well help. ACHTUNG!!!! Never ever use two or more indicators that measure the same thing because if you get a false signal, you will get it double.

I plot your past trades manually on Tradingview and you have a lot so it was hours of work :weep:

Looking at your stats, since the history is hidden, 26% profit with 1100+- pips, which means you use leverage between 1:2,5 for each trade and since your max DD is 2.6%, does it mean your worst DD was 100 pips? Not using an calculator, so just doing rough numbers in my head.

I hope you don't mind but I looked at your trading and reverse engineered your trading a bit and fixed some things. Fix meaning, I can find better entries and solve the account burning issue.

The account has been running since the December 2020. Things are looking good. I did thousands of back tests and decided to go live immediately since your results were already positive, mine should be too after the fixes.

As you can see the drawdown is very low at under 3%. So your method does work extremely well with some tweaking to it. The back testing gave excellent results too!

I made a rule to withdraw some funds after a certain amount of profit has been reached.

I intend to make this into a trading journey. The relevance to BHW is that I will need to setup a website and push that forward. I intend to create a link for people to copy my trades. I can earn a percentage off the profits the copiers are making. I can also put up adsense and affiliate links. Since I work in website management and SEO, I am online a lot and should be able to push my website to the top of Google's SERP. I will create an extra thread for that journey.
Just like it how can I be too

So when you add trades on Tradingview, it will show you what signals can be used for the same trades?

No, you have to try and compare manually to find a pattern which is only possible if you know the correct timeframe. It's not easy.

You are good at math! You come close. It was 60+ pips only once. and 3 or 4 times between 20-40 pips.

So when you add trades on Tradingview, it will show you what signals can be used for the same trades?

No, I have to manually test every trade you made but I only take the ones that hit TP.

It is like this:
1. I look for a trade that you have carried out succesfully with TP. I look for the date and price of that trade on a Tradingview chart.
2. I then play around with indicators that will give me the same results as yours meaning a TP.
3. I try this with a bulk of your trades because I need to use the same indicators each time. If my results are good then I know I am on to something. Important is that I use your positions that have hit TP.

It is that simple just a lot of work!

Interresting! Sounds like a hell of a work!

But I am glad to know my trading makes sense somehow, even though I don't use any indicators on purpose, just reading the PA. But I guess, all that is written down in the indicators, anyway. I simply never used them, because the more you use, the more confusing it gets...so having a clean chart works out best for me(but I analyze a few indies during the weekends, into next week).

Yes, PA is king. Indicators lagg and clutter up but they give you mini insights.

Your ability to read PA comes from "training" you have given yourself. You are the indicator :). When you have read enough charts, you can pick up on what will happen next because markets are not random. Some call this gut feeling.

BTW, I reverse engineered tons of other peoples trading as well. The result of that is that I know now which indicators work well and which lagg miserably and give bad signals. In the end, profit in trading is ONLY about proper risk management, IMO.

You are on a good track to make that million! Good luck!
