What is spamdexing and how does it works, is there any thread on this forum on how to spamdex, I searched but couldn't find any, if you know of anyone, let me know please.

I remember the days where you just threw a bunch of keywords on to mass-generated HTML doorway pages and then spam a bunch of guestbook to get the sites picked up.

Google is good.
But these spammers are better. They always find a way to stay ahead in game and make their efforts worhwhile.
The life span of such pages has been decreasing over the period of time. But few people have ideas to make it profitable evenafter alot of efforts and resources goes into this

First off; why plan ahead, we can beat Google now, why shouldn't we? That's the entire point? We can't plan what updates they'll be releasing in the future anyway.

I also find it hard to believe it'll get penalized in the near future

That is why there are so many threads about SEO IS DEAD.....because many IMs cannot plan ahead....anything that eats up resources and potential ad revenues will be penalized sooner or later by G.

A spamdex file is a fake index or cache of a website which has been automatically generated by a spambot. These pages contain some content but their main purpose is to make it look like many copies of that page exist on the web, when in fact there is only one genuine page with few links pointing to it.

Spamdexing increases the number of times you appear in Google's index and makes your site look popular - which means it will likely rank higher than other sites with less backlinks. However, having too many indexed pages could result in your site being penalized by Google.
