How is Twitter botting these days?

Hey guys,

I did a bit of Twitter botting back in the day but stopped around 2014. Back then, I was following and following over 500 people per day on my money account with no problem.

I'm guessing this isn't possible these days? What are the limits like these days? Is it super difficult like people say Instagram is or is there still a decent amount of botability?

I was also heavy into twitter botting in 2013/204. As you mentioned, you could easily do 500+ follows a day. Like the wild west lol.

i started botting the same acc from that time period which had accumulated 20k followers and was getting limited after like 100 follows. I found it a real PITA to bot that account.

granted, I only tried with this account so YMMV

Varies from account to account these days. As you say days of 500 are long gone. Days of 100 per day 7 days a week are probably gone to. But some accounts can do 80-100 7 days a week without issue. But some accounts trigger blocks at much lower limits (brand new accounts vs aged USED accounts (aged but not used isn't that good)

I create account and then 20 minutes later it asks phone number, you unlock it and you cannot follow more than 20 people. its really bad now.

Impossible to say. It seems to variable. One account does ABC no problem. Another account does ABC and has problems.

What and how you do it matters

The best you can do (and not possible in bulk I know) but the best is to use the account manually. Nothing is going to be as realistic as manual usage. Bot developers strive to be as realistic as possible, but we are not there yet to be replicate exactly a real user. Twitter can record everything you do and how you do it. Map that against it's entire user base then is just some simple standard deviation calculations to work out who is outside that, then flag them onto a list for closer inspection.

But if you can use the account for a day, that's better than nothing
but if you use for a week that is better than a day
but if you use for a month that is better than a week.

But you need to use like a normal user, not a user trying to warm up an account, as that isn't normal usage

I'll just pitch in here. I used to be able to do 150 follows/day, 7 days a week without issues not too long ago. Although my accounts were not bought, I manually verified them myself with physical SIMs.

Twitter is really a game of natural engagement. Botting is fun and scalable, but in the end you will sell more by being you and creating value on Twitter.

Unpopular opinion perhaps, but a fact nonetheless. Keep at it, and you get pretty fast. Find a few good hashtags in your niche, and aim for 100 tweets/engagements per day.

Then buy a VA to do it once you make enough money through selling affiliate products or your own products this way.

It's all uphill and 100% whitehat from there.

No hassle with bots or banned accounts.

That's true for pretty much everything. But if you manage to reach 400k people/day with spammy shit, maybe that's better than reaching 400 people/day with actual good quality value.

Exactly, as I said it varies a lot. Manually verified with physical sim is going to tick a lot of good boxes.

But I still stand by, in 2021, if anyone is asking for a ballpark figure of what is an average amount of follows per day, 7 days a week, it is closer to what I said than 150 (with the caveat it is possible, but unlikely)
