Hi everyone,

I'm experimenting with mass YouTube comments as a free traffic source. I've found a way to post on loads of videos at scale successfully but ran into the problem of my comment being automatically removed when it contains a Bitly link.

I presume it's in their algorithm to block it. When I simply use a generic comment with no link however it post's successfully.

Any alternative way of adding a link to a comment without firing up Youtube's algorithm to automatically block it?

Thanks,

BKL

I wouldnt recommend bitly as a shortener for affiliate links, they often block them (i mean, bitly blocks them, not just YT). Maybe try with your own domain or another shortener, tinyurl for example? Or put a space between link, but that will prolly hurt conversion.

Thanks for the suggestion!

It’s for my own product/domain. I tried the space between letters for my own URL as well as spacing the Bitly link with no luck.

I’ll try tinyurl & will update this thread if I find something that works.

Did tinyurl work? Post a generic comment without links and upvote it for 2-3 days, then go back to that comment and edit it by adding your link. Let me know if it helped you.

I like this idea and it isn't something I thought about!

My challenge was I wanted the messages to be automated using a tool and going back to edit the comments would be a little too manual.

What I ended up doing was making x5 varied message templates that directed people to my channel, then on my channel they would see 1 video of my product and 1 bitly link that took them to where I wanted them to go.

That worked well before I ditched the whole Youtube comments idea as my tool stopped working after an update and I decided there's far easier less spammy advertising methods that I'm willing to just pay for lol

May I ask what tool did you use for this? I see people posting links on youtube videos. Directly Spamming their website link. It seems to be working good until youtube blocks that, he just changes his URL everyday it seems.

yes, also curious what tool did u use for doing this?

It was a chrome extension plugin that no longer works anymore! If you want to try it I found it of this Youtube video ironically enough lol

From my research if you want something that lasts you have to pay a coder to make a private one for you.

so that one you mentioned at the very top is your private tool?

is this working as he explains?

No I never used a private tool I experimented with free publically available ones. I was advising that if anyone wants to do this long term - they should make their own bot or pay someone else to do it.

No it doesn’t work anymore.
