Vps server owners please help me

Directadmin is a good option. $24 per year for their 10 domain license. We use those on our in house VPS's. It's not quite as full-featured as Cpanel, but gives you a good frontend for most everything you'll need.

install a ftp server
or just wget through filehosts that allow direct linking
Well, there's probably a bit more to it than that. He'll need to install and configure LAMP at a minimum, which is going to be a learning curve for someone new at server administration. Then, there's security, which many panels at least provide SOME out of the box. DA also integrates directly with CSF to give you a point and click method to achieve a fairly respectable level of security.

You should read some tutorials on how to setup a server does not seem like you know what your doing and if you just randomly install things you will run into issues.
