I was about purchasing a vps for my movie site and then I found out it doesn't come with the c panel option and the c panel licence cost kinda much, pls I wanna know if their is a free alternative of cpanel I can use or if their is any way i would able to upload files to the server without the cpanel.

Is the only cpanel functionality you need to be able to upload files? If so this can be done easily with an SFTP server or even using Winscp through SSH.

Yeah mainly for file uploading, thanks so much for answer

Vestacp is good just a reminder you do need to purchase the file manager extension to be able to upload files if you wish to do so through the control panel. Otherwise you can use any ftp client to do so.
Also i believe it doesn't offer multiple php versions but i could be wrong.

Thanks very much for this I'll have to set it up manually right
You can look at online tutorial on YouTube or at there website. It's very easy to install and use. My recommendation would be to go with apache + nginx

To use ftp on Linux without anything on it you need to install ftp server first on that machine.

Alternatively to vestacp you could look into openlitespeed.org its a open-source version of litespeed server.

ISP Config/Virtualmin/Aapanel/Cyberpanel your choice :)

what FTP client should I use for large files upload filezilla or winscp

Cyberpanel is the way to go my friend, it comes with openlitespeed .

If you got some money ask your vps provider about directadmin license, some vps providers even give it for free with their vps packages

Oh okay thanks for this.

I personally use Virtualmin and I’m very satisfied with it.
