Ok, like the title said, does updating a page regularly improves ranking? Like updating it once a week.

If by updating you mean adding new content then yes , it gradually adds up .

Yeah, how about changing some contents instead of adding

Content freshness is important because searchers want to see results that are relevant and recent, so that’s the type of content Google will serve them, for example, when you search for a current event, you might see pages ranking at the top that are just minutes old.

Thanks for the info, I have this new method and if what you said is true, then it should work, I'm gonna try it though

don't!

most likely involves you having a scrip to add new content to a page on regular period. it will backfire

pay attention to the top ranked pages to any niche, that particular page does not get updated that often. the site does get updated with new content, but ranked pages do not. if you do, you will mess up your on-site optimization.

site freshness is not the same as page freshness.

I agree with most of what fb3003 said. You can update pages but just the really old pages/articles or better yet write new articles on the same subject but with updated information and let readers know it is as update to a previous article and link to that article. This will push your readers into navigating more of the website and increase page views for older content.

You can update old posts that dont perform well but I dont usually change post date. I leave it as it is just update the content, try to include long tail keywords in way that makes sense.
