Hi all

I have been uploading on youtube for about 3 years, my channel has 110k sub, 30m views, all are legit. These last 6 months or so my channel has been getting less and less views and engagement. I upload 3 videos a week, after a 7 days a video will normally have around 7k views, 30 comments, 500 likes and only a couple dislikes. But going back a year ago my videos were getting atleast 50k views, some would get 100k or a million. I have no idea what i'm doing wrong! My content is improving (i upload my own music, which im always improving on), my thumbnails are good etc. My competition is getting about 50-100k views on average and hundreds of comments.

Any tips/advice on what i can do get my engagment back up? I have started using adwords on some of my videos, i reply to all comments etc and try and improve engagement but its still going down. Please help :D

I received a copright strike a few months ago which is still on my channel until next month, could this have an effect?

this is how yt usually kills channels/shadowban, it happens out of the blue.
ur suggested views can drop over night and then ur channel is always bad performance.
i cant guarentee that u can recover, although u can try.

i had this happen to many of my channels, which i dropped/sold and replaced with new ones

What are some methods i can do to try and recover my account?

in my case i dont bother. i sell them.
it's more like a dead channel.

my friends had the same. they tried for many months and gave up because there was no improvement.
Then they sold their dead channels

what if this happens to a long term personal channel?

It's too late to say it was dead.

The copyright strike should've only affected that 1 video, so I don't think that's the reason. Although, you can definitely wait and see what happens when it's gone.

I'd recommend trying different types of videos, maybe different title structure, SEO, etc..

Whenever I have a dead channel, I tend to just change things around a bit. Sometimes it really does work.

As I tell all my clients, you never know with Youtube, so build multiple channels :)

Well, I cant give you advice just based on "my youtube channel is dying how to fix it?". If you don't have anything against sharing your youtube channel, feel free to PM me, and I could give you my honest opinion on what I like, what I dont like, and maybe what you can do to increase the views. If you dont like sharing it that is completely fine I understand you.

The channel might have been shadow banned by YouTube. Hard to return it to former level. However, you can try boosting your view when you release a new video for some times. If no improvement, you just need to move on

Ummm. Do you create your own content or you simply reusing content from other channel?

Run a giveaway, ask them to share
Check ur best performed videos use them as inspiration for target audience and make another video
Check ur competitors recent video and make ur own video based on it
Check what your audience also watched section
I have seen channels with million video views gets less than 50% video views for months and bounce backed to millions
Stay positive

what if this happens to a long term personal channel?

u can't do much if its shadowbanned.
keep trying to upload and if u see no improvement. sell it.
happened to many of mine

i dropped them and replaced with new

Yeah but you know you can't sell if it's a personal channel where you put your face and trying to build it long term..
You can't just start another channel

ya i know but u can't do much about it.
delete ur videos and sell the channel with subs lol.

youtube will shadowban who they don't like.
special HQ channels will survive.

in my case i dont bother with personal coz yt is unpredictable.

i just spam until the channel dies, farm money, replace them.
done

How do you know if you're shadowbanned from YT?

Its simple as this, you subs arent active, therefor youtube dosent push your videos much
