I have only 2 links. When trying to add the third link, I get this error after editing my sig and click 'save'

There is a small gap between the text and the star in the first line which makes the system that they are two different links.
Join them up and you should have space for the third link.

I get it as well in the past, either the text length, either emoji visual bug as @TheGreyMatter said. Make it shorter and watch out for white spaces and you will be fine.

The 1st line contains 2 urls, which are the same. Probably user error, when you made the 1st line. You have another url in the 2nd line, so you maxed out the 3 urls. Remove the duplicate url from the 1st line (link your BST only once) and see if you can add a 3rd url.

Removed the star emoji. now it works.
