I've witnessed some virals in my country that didn't really do anything new, and yet they went a long way.

One of them was created by a man who was famous x years ago, then disappeared from the Internet and suddenly posted a stupid, actually a bit funny video from a completely new account (no one knew it was him then) and actually from that video he remained in the top on the local YT.

The question is very difficult and very easy. What are some ways to make an interesting, engaging video go viral quickly?

- interesting, engaging content
- basics like title, thumbnail
- ?

Yes, most of you will probably say "it's enough that this video will be awesome, it will go viral by itself" but believe me, if you upload a video like this from a new account and just leave it, it will go suck, not viral. Maybe in a few years, when YT puts it on the home page by accident.

What do you think would be the best way to "swing" viral? Group posts on FB? Comments on FB posts? Fanpages? Paying for advertising to large fan pages? Cooperation with influencers (something like: IG story-> "look how awesome haha")? Memes?

I realize that viral is viral, that content has to be viral and that's it, all I mean is the beginning :) I have a nice idea that can be well accepted.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Tho it is his new account, but I bet he shared it in his old socmed audience base for the initial boost. Also this is not a case of "nobody" getting viral. He is a recognized brand (you said he is a famous person). Initial boost + well-known brand are the main reasons. everything else is just snowballing effect IMO.

Not at all. I mean, he was famous, but he escaped the internet and was "offline" for about 6 years. Then created a video without him (no his face, voice - nothing told that's him), it went viral and THEN after about 1 year people realized that's this person and by doing this, he's still on our local YT top.
He just did everything to prevent people from finding out it was him, so it's not the case I think. But thanks for reply!

Though there are many variables, SM traffic could be prominent.
Artists with a huge SM following tend to have a blast as soon as they release a new track/album.

For instance, Zayn has 13M on YT. 36M+ on Instagram
That's thrice the number of users following his content on YT.
