Made $30 on two articles today

It's hard to tell what the delay is, but i'll guess its because of....easter?

have a day off ffs, everything takes longer over the hols, and you can rest assured all us BH bandits have been submitting like mad over the days off, leaving a backlog, so of course things will take longer

I'm sorry when I read this post I burst out laughing. Like Millygirl said, we just celebrated Christmas. Easter is the other Christian holiday and that is in the spring. :D

Uh no, I won't take a day off, sorry.

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you live on either Neptune or your easter bit was a joke.

@mariopits- All people don't celebrate holidays. but he may be from Neptune. :D

Haven't heard from you in a while. How u been bud?

@tchashow I've been okay I think. Thanks for asking. I've gotten help with pageviews and am a day away from Clout 6 but my articles are still about $3.30. It did occur to me earlier that I think they based payment on pageviews and not clout level? Hope A.C. is treating you well.

You know that clout level is directly related with pageviews??? Your clout level rises according to how many pageviews you have. But I don't think that your payments are completely determined by clout level because I sometimes receive higher upfronts for lower clout level accounts than what I receive on the higher level accounts. Here is the chart that determines your clout level:

And yes A*C has been treating me very well. :D Thank you for asking!

Well yeah but I don't have that many pageviews I don't think. I mean ...not for the amount of articles I have. I think redtide said A.C. wants on average 1k views per article. Mine is more like 227 per article.

To be honest, I don't have even close to 1000 views per article but I still receive 5+ upfronts. I think as long as they notice your page views going up they will pay you well. Maybe you should try submitting something other than reviews. Switch it up some. I can't really offer you any help regarding reviews because I don't write many of them.

Okay, thank you. I will try to do that tonight. Do you think they'll take articles that explain what something is? For instance: Dogs - What is a dog?, etc.

I don't think so because thats too general. What you should do is get a keyword research tool and place a word in it and see what keywords come up that have decent search volume. Then check A*C to see if they have any articles on that topic.

That's what I mean. Dog would replace a particular keyword I found that has a good search volume with little competition in Google and no competition in A.C.

I started getting articles reviewed tonight and my payments are either low or getting declined. They're reviews in a specific category I've been submitting so now I gotta figure out what else to write.

@ CMS2009 - That's ok mate...Easter, Christmas, a holiday is a holiday ;) Btw, they finally got that thread yanked down on DP. Thanks again for the help btw. I can't bellieve he had the balls to try to sell my book as his own and use the same username over there as he does here lol. Definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed. ;)

@ mariopits - They've had less staff working during the holidays so they're backlogged like CMS2009 and Millygirl mentioned. Hopefully they'll be caught back up soon and get back on the schedule of 1-3 day review times.

Btw, yes they do want you to be as close to 1K views per article as an average PV vs. published article ratio, but it isn't mandatory and is only one aspect of many that determines your upfront offers. Like tchashow mentioned, you can still pull high upfronts but after awhile they'll start to lower and/or reject them altogether if your averages are too low. The upfront offers are their investment in your ability to bring in PV's, if a person doesn't, then the upfronts drop and/or stop altogether.

Hi all there - well, this is some real ass work, but thought might be useful.

I got this link which has online tests that corrects for AP style. Its pretty clean, no registration, and has good explanation when your wrong.

Code:

Hey guys, today i got 10 articles rejected and were pretty much the same stuff i was submitting so far.The reason is :Unfortunately, this content did not qualify for an Upfront Payment offer because the topic is not specific enough in scope to be discoverable in an average internet search

Maybe the keyword was too long? All keyword were made out of 3 words and al articles were reviews. The keywords were something like Microsoft LifeCam VX7000
,Philips SPC900NC Webcam . Anyone has some ideeas??
Also my views are crazy low.I have 30 articles submitted and only about 220 views

What should i do?Make another account?Re-submit them?

by any chance, do you know what is considered to be a low average? my pv ratio is only a bit past 100 per article. would it help if i just stopped publishing for a while and let the views build up?

Hey, this happened to me too and I was given the same reason. Aaand it was in the same niche. I don't have that low of PV though, I'm in clout 6.

I would like to know what is a low average too ...if you happen to know, redtide.

@ seosutra - Thanks much for posting that. It looks like a great resource for all things grammar related. ;)

@ streetballa - Based on the info you gave us it sounds like a combination of things. See the post I made in johnconner's thread about review pieces and spreading out their submissions. AC doesn't really have any form letter excuses for things like "you're submitting too many review pieces" so that would explain why they're throwing that excuse at you (for the same quality content that was previously being accepted). This is AC's way of letting a person know that they're sending them too many reviews in succession.

Secondly, if your page views are low like that they will eventually stop offering you upfronts like I was mentioning in my last post. There's a good chance that could be the reason also. Dividing your 220 views by 30 articles it amounts to 7.3 views per article which is way too low for them to feel confident in offering you continued upfronts.

I would let that account lay low and just work on promoting it for page views while you use another for submitting for upfronts.

As far the rejections, I would rework them slightly like I talked about in the book and resubmit them to the SAME account after you've brought your page views up. Also, when you do resubmit, spread them out and don't submit them all at once.

@ vicious and mariopits - There's a lot of factors that come into play with regards to an acceptable amount of PV's. Obviously, if the article was just published you can't be expected to have 200+ views on that article instantly, so how long it's been since the article was published plays a major role.

I'll break it down like this, if you have articles that were published 4 weeks ago, 200-300 views are acceptable but more is better obviously. Just take your total published articles and divide them by how many total views you have. If you aren't within the 200-300 range per article (for every 4 weeks that pass) then it would help to let the account lay low as far as submitting for upfronts while you bring up the page view average. This is another reason why it's a good idea to have multiple accts running at any given time. ;)
