Im considering getting a job in one of these which one is better I was going to try both to see which one I liked more which one should I choose?

I actually think Programming..
BUT: first try both and see if you like one more than the other.
Easier (and quicker) to learn sales. But it's also very much a character trait you need to have. Also - the more you sell the better your pay. So what happens on slow months? and if your company isnt selling because of Covid or some other 3rd party issue? etc.

Programming is something needed in so many companies, isnt really affected much by other things and - pays well.. downside is you need to learn it for a longer period of time..
Good luck!
:)

your passion is the key, if you love programing and wanna be a good programer and happy to always learning new knowledge on programing you could go to be a programmer, aslo if you passion is marketing you could chose marketing, which one is perfect fit on your heart and mind :)

Depends on who you are. For me, it's definitely programming. However, I have seen some of my friends/colleagues burn out too. Ask yourself first: What do I want to do when I wake up tomorrow? Do sales or do programming? Only you can answer it.

I agree with people who are saying "passion". Yepp, being a programmer definitely needs a lot of passion and dedication. Often times, you will be pulling your hair out for 6 hrs and then solve the issue in 5 mins after a smoke break. Without passion, you will burn out very soon.

Well, depends on what you do with it I guess.

I betcha a good salesman (selling his own stuff or selling on commission) will make more than a well paid programmer who works a 9 to 5.

But I betcha a good programmer will create a program/script/bot that almost sells itself and hire the salesman to sell for him, and make a ton more money.

So I don't know...

If you aren't really happy with programming then it isn't the correct answer. Same applies for sales as well.

Ask yourself. Face a mirror and start asking yourself. Only you and you alone will know what is the best route for you. People may give away opinions and advices but by the end of the day, you will have the final answer.
Ask these questions:

1. What do I really want?
2. Do i have any experience with it? If so, how did I do?

Programming is hard especially when you're just starting. I got a degree in programming but I rarely used it. I found myself to be a business man. So I went to sales.

Adhere to your interests or you might get whipped later on.
Both are nearly evergreen.

If you're good at selling - you'll see the most money there by far.

Programming is also good money, but be prepared to always work over to meet the deadlines, sitting at a desk literally writing code for 8-10hrs/day everyday. It tends to be quite boring no matter if you like it or not...

For the programming job, please don't be drawn in by the "we have ping pong tables, our own gym, a lot of AW's bla bla bla". They obviously hire you to work, not to play tabletennis.

Programming is much easier.
Sales will offer better job opportunities at the start.
